The Betas' Dilemma

"Liam, we have to talk about it." Scott said catching up with his beta in the hallway. 

"Scott, what are you on about?" Liam turned to see the concerned look on Scott's face.

"Liam seriously. You just set up a date with Theo Reaken after he threatened to start a war with our pack." Scott said cautiously, making sure Liam heard every word. 

"Scott, it's not a date, we just planned to catch a movie and have dinner." Liam said, like it was no big thing. 

"Liam, he was clearly flirting with you, and you didn't seem to bothered by it. Oh, and you're going on a date with Theo Reaken tonight." Scott raised his voice slightly. 

Just when Liam thought this day couldn't get any more annoying, Stiles came up to them. "YOU'RE DOING WHAT?" Stiles screamed, making everyone in the hallway turn to look at them. 

"Stiles could you be any more annoying?" Liam said and walked off, heading out of the school doors to go home. 

Stiles and Scott each grabbed one of Liam's arms and dragged him off to an empty classroom. 

"Guys, what the hell?" Liam was getting more and more annoyed. All he wanted to do was go home, have a shower and get his homework done before he had to do it in detention again. 

"Liam, you can not go on a date with our enemy." Stiles said, fidgeting like usual.

"Stiles Theo isn't the enemy. Yes, he's done some bad things and hurt a few people, but he's not like that." Liam defended Theo, and he didn't know why. 

"First, he's bad and that's all he is. Second, he didn't just hurt people, he killed them for his own personal gain. Why are you doing this?" Stiles was getting more and more annoyed with Liam. 

"Theo's not all bad, he's had a crap life full of pain and loss. He's never been loved or cared about. He was basically kidnapped by three old-ass men and manipulated to do whatever they wanted. Theo Reaken is now the broken shell of a once happy child, and he needs to know that even after all the bad things he's done and witnessed he can still have a good life filled with love and joy and if I can show him just a little bit of happiness maybe he'll realize that people do care." Liam was really annoyed by the end of his rant and stormed out of the classroom and started walking home. 

"LIAM!" Scott and Stiles called after him but decided to let him leave. 

~ 20 minutes earlier ~

Theo was stood in front of Scott and Liam. "What's this about?" Theo asked. 

"We're here to ask you to stop whatever plan you have to hurt the pack and call a truce." Scott's was calm and genuine, he really did want all of this to stop. 

"And you brought the kid for what exactly?" Theo smirked, looking at Liam, who just looked like he had better things he could be doing. 

"I'm here to kick your ass if you don't agree to the truce." Liam stated like it was obvious. 

"Damn, you're violent." Theo smirked and chuckled looking at the adorable smaller boy. 

"Yeah, but I'm short, so it's adorable." Liam flashed a sarcastic smile, which he may or may not have got from spending too much time with Stiles. 

"You're right, you are adorable." Theo smiled, looking into Liam's ocean blue eyes. 

"Thank you." Liam said, trying to hide the smile that crept his way onto his face. 

"Are you blushing?" Theo smirked, only making Liam's face turn a deeper shade of red. 

"Shut up, Reaken." Scott said coldly. "Excuse me, McCall, but I'm not talking to you, am I?" Theo replied just as cold. 

"Liam, want to hang out tonight? Catch a movie and get something to eat afterwards. What do you say?" Theo smiled at the still blushing boy. 

"What time are you picking me up?" Liam said, finally looking up into Theo's hazel brown eyes, smiling uncontrollably. 

"How about I pick you up at six thirty?" Theo offered and Liam nodded. "Six thirty's good." Theo smiled happily and walked out of the locker room, leaving Scott staring at a blushing, smiling Liam. 

"I have to go home and do homework before I get another detention." Liam said before rushing out of the locker room and into the crowded hallway. 

~ Present ~

"Their so annoying. Why can't I hang out with someone without them having a go?" Liam complained to himself while he walked to his house. 

Liam finally arrived home and went straight to the shower, washing away all the annoyance and pissed off feeling he was having about his friends. 

Liam took a long relaxing shower and started tackling his homework assignments that had to be completed by the end of the week. 

Before he knew it, Theo was knocking on his front door. Liam opened the door and let Theo in. "Hey, sorry I didn't realize what time it was, ill just go get dressed and ill be right back." Liam rushed back upstairs and threw on a simple grey shirt and a pair of black jeans. 

Theo and Liam got in Theo's truck and drove to the movie theater to find a movie for them to watch. 

After the movie Theo drove them to a diner, and they sat in a booth eating and talking. 

At the end of the night, Theo drove Liam home and walked him to the door. 

"Tonight was fun. We should do it again soon." Liam smiled, standing in the doorway. 

"Yeah we should. I have a lot of fun around you." Theo smiled back, a genuine smile. 

"You should smile like that more often." Liam said, moving closer to Theo, stopping just inches in front of him. 

"I only smile like this for you." Theo said sweetly, flashing that genuine smile once again. 

"I might have to hang around you more often then." Liam said moving closer and closing the distance between them softly kissing Theo's lips before separating and saying goodbye before going inside and leaning on the door lightly playing with his lips recalling the amazing feeling he got from kissing Theo smiling impossibly wide. 

"God, Scott and Stiles are going to hate this." Liam whispered still smiling, going into the kitchen and grabbing a drink before throwing himself on the couch and watching a show.
