We Will Do This Together

Chapter XXIV

About a day or so later Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian arrive back in Yiling, "Wei Ying, why didn't you want to attack Wen Chao?" Lan Wangji asked when they got back into the inn that they were staying in.

Before Wei Wuxian can answer Lan Wangji question someone shouted, "A-Xian! Lan er gongzi!" The two look up ahead to see Lan Xichen and Lan Sheng waving at them. Lan Wangji walk ahead first while Wei Wuxian follow behind.

Lan Sheng can tell that something is wrong with Wei Wuxian. He walk up to Wei Wuxian and meet him half way, "A-Xian, what's wrong?" He asked.

Wei Wuxian look at Lan Wangji who is talking to his brother, "can you keep a secret, Sheng ge?" Lan Sheng also look at the two brothers who is talking to one another, then he turn back to Wei Wuxian, "yeah, what is it?"

"Sheng ge, I can't control this resentment energy inside of me. I don't have that light energy inside of me anymore.....no.....more like I feel like I am not stable to control this energy."

"Are you afraid that you will lose control of this energy?" Wei Wuxian nodded his head. "Even with Wangji by your side?" Lan Sheng asked.

"I'm grateful that Lan Zhan is by my side but.....with my trauma and going back to the past cause me to be unstable. Back then I have a second family, people I want to protect, there is a person that I also want to protect but when she is gone....the dark energy take over me."

"Is this person your talking about Jiang Yanli?" Wei Wuxian nodded his head. "What about this time?" Lan Sheng asked. "I'm scare....I want to protect you, Lan Zhan, Xichen and everyone else...but  I don't know if I can do it or not, Sheng."

"Alright wait here," Lan Sheng went to talk to Lan Xichen and Lan Zhan, "A-Xian is having a problem right now? I will talk to A-Xian first, then he will talk to the two of you okay?" Lan Wangji look outside, then back to Lan Sheng, "look after Wei Ying for me?"

"I will," Lan Sheng went back to where Wei Wuxian is at, "let's go A-Xian."

Wei Wuxian look back inside, "Sheng ge, where are we going?" Lan Sheng take Wei Wuxian away from there. "Somewhere where you can clear your mind and spirit. This will help you."

"Do you know a place here in Yiling?" Wei Wuxian asked while still getting dragged by Lan Sheng. "Yes, I often leave cloud Recesse to go get more medicine and herb from different place."

Lan Sheng and Wei Wuxian come to a place that is in a forest that is behind the Jiang clan. "This is...."

"I found this when I wondered in this forest behind the Jiang clan. It fill with positive energy, come," they enter into the middle of the forest, there the two see a stone circle in the middle.

"Go on A-Xian, relax, meditate and find that energy to help you go through this, to save those that you care about. But most of all...the one you love."

"Okay." Wei Wuxian went into the middle of the stone circle, he sat down and begin to meditate. 'Right. Sheng ge is right, I need to focus, concentrate, and find that energy. I need to control this energy, even if I am unstable I can always think about Lan Zhan.'

Lan Sheng seat down in front of Wei Wuxian outside of the stone, "Control the resentment energy A-Xian."

While helping Wei Wuxian to find the positive energy from deep inside of him, Lan Sheng hear the sound of voice, horse and footstep. He went to see who they are, he hide behind a brush and peek out to see, 'the Wen.'

He sneak back quietly to where Wei Wuxian is at, he whispered quietly to Wei Wuxian, "A-Xian, Wen Chao is heading to the Jiang clan. I will head back to tell Xichen and Wangji. When your done, come to the Jiang clan." Lan Sheng see Wei Wuxian nodded his head.

Lan Sheng take out his sword, step on it and flew away from there to head back to Yiling. When Lan Sheng got there he rush into the inn, "Xichen! Wangji!" The two look toward the doorway.

"Sheng, what's wrong?" Asked Lan Xichen.

"Wen Chao is head toward the Jiang clan. He is about to attack them." Lan Wangji look here and there behind Lan Sheng, "Wei Ying?"

"A-Xian is in a forest behind the Jiang clan. That place will help him, Lan er gongzi, A-Xian will tell you once he arrive at the Jiang clan. For now we need to head to the Jiang clan right now."

"Sheng is right, let's get there before Wen Chao does. A-Xian know that we need him there, he will come."

Lan Wangji gave a nod, all three of them left the inn to head straight to Yunmeng.

It didn't take long for the three of them to arrive in Yunmeng, since Yunmeng is close to Yiling. The first thing they did is rush toward the Jiang clan as fast as possible. When they got there Lan Xichen said in a loud voice, "Sect leader Jiang! I need to speak with you! It is very important!"

Outcome Jiang Fengmian from inside of the main room, "Zewu Jun, what's wrong?" Jiang Fengmian asked. Jiang Cheng, Yu Ziyuan and Jiang Yanli and the rest of the Jiang disciples all stand behind Jiang Fengmian.

"Wen Chao and his disciple is heading this way. You need to prepare to fight them. Do you have any ambush plan?" Lan Xichen asked.

"Yea, my wife and I, we were discussing about it. Come, we need to go get the disciple to tell them what to do." So with that Jiang Fengmian left with everyone to go gather up the Jiang disciple.

The bow and arrow  group is up on the roof of the house, the tree all around the clan and in the brush as well.

The dagger group is all around the clan, wherever the Wen clan decided to attack them, they are ready.

Standing in the sword train hall is Jiang Fengmian, Yu Ziyuan, Jiang Cheng, Lan Xichen, Lan Wangji and Lan Sheng. Jiang Yanli help those who can't fight away from the clan, this way they won't get hurt.

Now all they have to do is wait for Wen Chao to arrive in front of the Jiang clan.......
