*the next day at school*

I walk down the hallway of school, determined to stay mad at Ferb. After all, what he said was rude.

I come up to the group of lockers that belong to Phineas, Ferb, Isabella, Buford, and Baljeet. The place where I met them yesterday. They are all standing there talking. I stop and smile.

"Hey, Gust." Isabella says.

"Hey, Bella." I say.

We talk for a while before Ferb says something. "Hey, Angel. About yesterday, I'm-" I cut him off by turning my head. Bella looks at me.

"A, are you okay? You seem... Mad." She says.

"I'm fine, Isabella." I say before walking off. I can hear Ferb trying to manuever through the students to catch up to me, but I ignore him. I walk to the library for the last half hour before homeroom.

I sit at a table and pull a book out of my bag. 'Molly Moon's Incredible Book of Hypnotism'.  I know it's aimed more towards children, but I love it. I open it to my bookmarked page as Ferb enters the library. He sits across from me. "Angel, please let me talk." He says.

I put in one earbud and press shuffle on my music. Little Game by Benny comes on and I try to ignore Ferb. He attempts to catch my attention quietly. He sighs and places a hand over my book. I pause my music and look up at him with a glare.

"What?" I hiss. He flinches.

"Angel, I just-" He says before I cut him off.

"That 'angel' crap won't work for you right now. I'm pissed." I say. He sighs.

"August, I'm sorry for what I said yesterday. It's just..." He rubs the back of his neck. "I... like you, Angel. Like like you like you. " He says. I stare, blinking in surprise.

"Wait, really?" I ask. He nods.

"Yeah, you're beautiful." I blush. "And the problem is, Phineas likes you that way too..." He says.

I sigh. "I'm sorry, Ferb, I can't be torn between my two best friends. I'm sorry." I say before standing up and leaving the library for first period. Ferb follows behind me and sits next to me when we enter the classroom.

Despite the information Ferb told me, I was still mucho angry at him. I ignore him all of first period, despite his futile attempts to gain my attention (i.e. putting notes on my desk, poking me shoulder, asking me to be his partner for partner reading, etc.). So when the bell rings, I surprise myself by taking the notes he put on my desk and putting them in my jeans pocket to read later.

I head straight to math, not even bothering to chat with the gang for the seven minutes we are allotted for passing period. I make sure to sit next to Werren at the back of the class, somewhere I've learned Ferb never sits. Seriously, it's like the backs of classrooms have cooties or something. As I wait for class to start, I pull the notes from Ferb out of my pocket.

Angel, I'm so sorry. Will you please forgive me?

I crumble that note up and toss it towards the trash can, scoring a three-pointer.

Angel, please stop ignoring me. It's killing me.

I proceed to become a basketball champ with the next three notes, all of them similar. The last note, however, catches my eye.
