"Fiona, you're getting more beautiful every day," Jason said with a twisted smile, letting the lifeless body of the little girl drop to the floor. His smile wasn't pretty. His eyes didn't shine when he did, they were cold.

Jason stepped closer, and I pulled Pedro further behind me. They stared at each other for a few seconds before Jason spoke, his voice threatening: "You stole her from me, González." I didn't know what to do. Jason could be playing around, or he could plan to kill both of us in the next minute. He stepped even closer, forcing me to look directly into his eyes as he whispered, "You're mine, Fiona Sommer. Only mine. And I'll get you back soon."

Then he extended his wings and took off the ground, disappearing in the clouds.

My gaze wandered to the dead body of the little girl in front of us. I slowly walked towards her and crouched down. Her neck was drawn with blood and her eyes were still opened. It was a terrifying scene. I quickly lit her body, and the wind took away her ashes.

"He's not going to stop killing until he gets what he wants. He wants to hurt me. You and the others are in danger," I spoke, my voice trembling with urgency.

Pedro turned me to face him, taking my hands in his. "I'm not letting you go back to him. We're going to get through this... together."
