11. Cant get enough

"You're late... again..." Kara shouts from the kitchen hearing me walk into the door

"Sorry, I came here as quickly as I could" I say and throw my bag in front of my door and rush into the kitchen and wash my hands before sitting down with Kara

Kara starts laughing as soon as she sees me and I look at her confused

"Did you have a boring shift?" She asks me still laughing

"It was alright, just a Patient in the ER at the end" I tell her genuinely confused about her laughing "whats wrong why are you laughing?" I ask and she takes out her phone and takes a picture of me

"Well you got a little something..." she says pointing at her own neck and handing me her phone showing me the picture

"Oh my god" I gasp worried "what do I do?" I ask her panicked

"I don't know" she laughs "what happened?" She says and starts coughing as she choked on her own saliva

"I..."

"Or should I ask who happened?" She says and I feel my face turn red "Arthur?" She asks

"No, what the hell" I respond

"Did you hook up with a colleague? Oh god Nick..." she says shocked and somehow proud

"Maybe?" I respond hoping that she wont ask any further but my hope was wrong

"Nickolas Mitchell, you surprise me every day. What happened to the Arthur thing?" She responds using my full name

"Like I said, its not happening. I cant do that to Charles" I tell her as a lie

Great job Nick, lying to your two best friends absolutely amazing...

"Listen you could've just messaged me that instead of showing up late, I cant even be mad at you for being late"  she says

"Well I need a way to cover it up tomorrow, I can't go to work like this" I say and hand her her phone back

"You can use some of my make up, we have the same skin tone anyways" she says still not being able to stop giggling

"Listen I need details" she says as I grab a portion of the Lasagna she made

"I'd rather not, he quit anyways it was just a one time thing" I add onto the lie

"Thats crazy, Never would I have thought that you would have a one night stand" she says shocked "or well a hook up at work" shes completely shocked

"Oh no we didn't have sex, just making out, I had to see a Patient before we could you know and yeah, he got a little too excited" I continue lying

"Well that's a bummer, definitely could use a happy freshly fucked Nick to talk to right now" she says and my jaw drops at that sentence

"What? Why?" I respond

"Well, I may or may not have lied to you about that movie night..." she tells me and I sigh

"What happened?"

"Well, we had sex... it was the best sex ever and I mean like seeing stars kind of good, however it may or may not have been unprotected and you know how wild it gets and he shot his load inside of me. You know I can't take the pill, since I react badly and I forgot to take plan B since I got to invested with you finally realising you were into Arthur" she tells me and I look at her disappointed

"Oh my god Kara, I don't even know what to say" I answer

"Listen, maybe im alright. Lets just pray" she says
