Arthur's POV:
We're all sitting around Nicks bed waiting on Doctor Richards who should be here any moment. Nick is wide awake saying he is completely fine just his sight is still not there.
"This is honestly just crazy, you were fine when we talked" Carrie says
"I know... I didn't expect it to happen so spontaneously either" Nick responds
"You will be able to see again right? After the surgery?" She asks and Nick stays quiet
"He will, Doctor Richards will figure something out" I step in and Nick squeezes my hand at my words, which tells me that he wants to say thank you for staying positive. The room turns quiet again, only the beeping of his monitoring still sounding up
"Charles you didn't even say where you finished the race" Nick says
"He won, but when he heard the news he just left after getting his trophy leaving Lando and Max celebrate on their own" Carlos responds for him
"You won?" Nick says excited
"I did" Charles chuckles
"A back to back victory let's go!" Nick says happy for him, moving away from the sad topic we had before
"Yeah... we will celebrate that another time" Charles says and the door opens a doctor walking in, Kara behind him and we stand up
"What is going on?" Nick asks
"Kara and Doctor Richards are here" I tell him and they approach the bed
"God Nick, why did you not tell me" Kara says and sits down to his side
"I told him he had enough time to process it himself first before telling people..." Doctor Richards says and lets out a sigh of disappointment
"so what is the plan Josh?" Nick asks
"I don't know, I will talk to the Neurosurgeon here and tell him what to do or at least explain the case" he tells us
"Alright and then he can do the surgery?" I ask him
"We will have to see, get another MRI and see how he can operate the best" he says looking at the chart
"Alright, you do that... we will just wait here" I respond and see Kara looking at me and then turning around to look at Charles, Carrie and Carlos
"I will be right back" he says and take the charts and walks out
"So you two are finally out in the open im guessing" Kara asks me
"You knew too?" Charles says
"I caught your little brother in his underwear in Nicks room and I saw it coming ages ago" Kara say and turns to Carrie and Carlos "Im Kara by the way, Nicks roommate" she says shaking their hands "love what you did with the Ferrari kit, the skirt looks really good with it" she tells Carrie, she always had her ways of flattering people. Its why my entire family loves it when Nick brought her around
"Thank you, dangerous game running around with a McLaren hat around the Ferrari drivers" Carrie responds and I only just now notice it. A weird thing to wear for someone that usually couldn't give two fuck about racing or Formula 1
"A McLaren cap? Since when do you even like formula one?" Nick asks
"I grew quite fond of it" Kara responds "and well you know I love my Australian, do you all know if Oscar is single?" Kara asks making us laugh
