Bloodletting

Rick was running and running. He never ran this fast before. but there was a reason why. His son was shot. he was ahead of the group as he was holding his wounded son in his arms. Lloyd was behind him. He couldn't believe what happened.

Master Wu, Garmadon, and Shane were behind him as they were running as fast as they can. the man who shot him, Otis, was running alongside them also. He was struggling as they were running down the fields in a hurry.

As they did, Otis struggles to catch his breath as he stumbles a bit. Shane and Master Wu noticed as they grabbed him and pushed him forward.

"Hey! You move, shithead! Come on! Get us there!" Shane told him as he was holding Otis by the shoulder. "Come on! We are almost there!" Master Wu shouted as Rick looked over. "How Far?! HOW FAR!?" Rick asked Otis as Otis said "Another half mile that way!"

"Hershel! Talk to Hershel, He'll help your boy!" He added as Rick was running again. Lloyd runs behind him as Garmadon told the three "Hurry!". He follows Rick and Lloyd. Rick didn't stop, at all. Lloyd saw the farm as he pointed "We need to hurry!" 

At the farm, a girl was standing at the porch as she was using her binoculars. suddenly, she saw something.

the girl realized. the two guys were running towards the farm as the girl called her dad out.

As the man, who is believed to be Hershel, and a few other people rushed outside, he saw Rick, who was carrying Carl still, and Lloyd, who was running beside him. Garmadon was behind the two.

"Was he bit?" Hershel asked the man as Lloyd replied "Shot. He was shot!"

"By your man." Rick said as he was at the verge of tears. "Otis?" a women asked as everyone walked over. "He said find Hershel, is that you?" Rick asked Hershel as he added "Please help my boy, please!"

"Get inside, everyone!" Hershel called out as he leads everyone inside the house to the bedroom. "Patricia, I need my full kit. Maggie, painkillers ,coagulates, grab everything." He told the two as Rick laid his son down on the bed once the covers were removed. "Pillowcase." Hershel said as Lloyd rushes to grab one.

"I-Is he alive?" Rick asked as he wanted to know if his son was alive.

"Pillowcase, quick." Hershel said as Lloyd hands him one.

"Is he alive?" Rick asked the question again as everyone was setting up the medical equipment.  Then, Hershel told Lloyd "Fold it. Make a pad. Put pressure on the wound." Lloyd did what he told him to do as he pressed on Carl's wound. Hershel then listens for a heartbeat.

"I've got a heartbeat." Hershel told the two as Lloyd was relieved. "It's faint." Hershel added as Rick was relieved to hear that he son was alive. 

"I got it, step back." Patricia said to Rick and Lloyd as Lloyd slowly took his hands off the pillowcase and stood by Rick. Rick only took a step back as his eyes didn't leave his son. "Your names?" Hershel asked the two.

"Rick."

"Lloyd."

"We're gonna do everything we can,okay? You need to give us some room." Hershel told the two as Garmadon was inside to see the two. "I'll stay here while you two go to the three." Garmadon told the two slowly walked out of the bed room. Rick then spots Master Wu, Otis, and Shane running to the farm as he and Lloyd walked outside to the porch.

As they came out, Rick was pale while Lloyd frowned from what happened. "He's alive? He's still alive?" Otis asked the two was Rick was all silent.

"He is. They found a heartbeat." Lloyd said to the two for Rick as he was covered in blood. He frowned again as Mater Wu walked up to him. He uses a towel to wipe the blood off of him as Lloyd added "My dad is with him with Hershel and the other people inside."
