after my final hours at university of oklahoma were spent packing and saying good bye to my friends, i was ready to move on. it was emotional as i had so many memories with the cheer team, and tate i was sad to leave them. but also the idea of getting to live with my brother was the only motivation i needed to go forward with my decision.
i was lucky to have tate and ari dropping me off at will rogers airport for one last goodbye. this might be harder than saying goodbye to my friends and family back home before college
"well we're here" tate sighs as we arrive at the drop off zone all getting out of the car for one last hug
"i really really really don't want to leave you guys" i mumble into our hug
"we know ellie but we all know how bad you want this and how much of an amazing opportunity it is" ari speaks releasing herself from the tight embrace
"you guys are seriously the best" i frown looking my two best friends
"i love you ellie bellie, we're still here even if we are miles away. think of all the amazing things that will happen for you in anaheim" tate smiles at me
"i love you guys so much"
"we love you more ellie now go kick ass with trev and jamie!" ari says with fire in her tone
"oh you know it" i look back at them before entering the airport

my instagram account is the epitome of social media is fake. while i am sitting here posting about college and my college friends and oh how i'll miss them. but my skin is itching for me to leave the city and craving a new, healthier environment. i am never the first one to admit when my mental health is bad. but i think everyone including me has seen the noticeable decline. i don't know if it was the negative effects of leo or the toxic cheer coach and teammates. but something is so different.
i get nervous jitters when i hear the call to board. shortly settling in my seat and shooting a quick text to trevor and jamie before putting my headphones on and good up, ready to knock out for a few hours

trevor was running around the house like a mad man to get everything perfect for ellie to move in. not sure what the difference between her staying with us for a week and her living with us but he sure wasn't doing this a few months ago. he decided it would be a great idea to buy her all new furniture for the guest bedroom that was now hers
"trevor what is the big whoop it's just your sister?" i chuckle out as he is still actively running around the place
"this is a big adjustment for ellie it needs to be perfect for her" he mumbles out will he's focusing on adjusting the pillows on the couch
"the house is the cleanest it's ever been. i've never seen you pull the fridge out and sweep behind it. i think it's perfect"
"you think so? i just want to make sure she's as comfortable as possible" he finally takes a real breath
"she's not coming home from the hospital trev, she's gonna be okay i promise" i smile
"i don't even know why im freaking out, you should be the one freaking out since it's 'your girl'" he air quotes his fingers
