"Did you really think that I'll like you? After what you've done to my friends and my dad?"

"We will never be friends. Nothing less lovers .  . ."

. . .

– Bradley –

How could they! It's absolutely absurd! Honestly, who the hell do they think they are? They seriously get on my nerves..

"Bradley! What happened back there?" A friend of mine came running up to me. It seems like the others saw what happened and followed me out.

"That stupid freshmen got orange juice on my sweater. So I tried to put him in his place but that didn't work. It backfired," I glanced at him. He was now walking beside me.

He just laughed and punched me on the arm. I slightly frowned but kept my cool.

"What's so funny?" I asked.

"W-well.." he slowly stopped laughing, "It's funny that you are still tormenting the poor kid."

"If he didn't spill the God damn juice, then I wouldn't have said anything!" I lashed out. He flinched slightly, and I immediately looked away. My mood was perfectly fine until he (He is referring to Max, btw) showed up. Ok, it was on purpose. But, I just wanted to know how he'll react. Nothing else. (You sure about that?)

"Ok, ok, you are upset. It's fine! Just cool down, man, before class starts. You'll get him back. You always do.. Sometimes," he mumbled the last part. I frowned at him.

"C'mon, let's head to class," he suggested, and I just went along.

. . .

We soon arrived to class, and we sat down in our seats. At least I have a better view of the classroom than last semester. And a better view of Max. Well, not exactly, but only the back of his head. Which I don't mind at all since his friend.. What was his name again. . . Ah, PJ, I believe. He sits right behind me, so whenever Max looks this way, we would always make eye contact. Not that I want to. But, it happens.

More students came in and including Max and his friends, and soon the bell rang. The professor walked in a few seconds late as always and started the class.

"I'm assigning a group project. And no, you may not choose your partners." The professor said.

Everyone in the classroom started complaining and groaning.

"Ok, settle down! Remember, this is part of your grade! Let's say if you got a D last semester, you'll have at least a C, so it'll boost your grade by one letter grade. The project would be due by the end of this month. So basically, you have 3 weeks and including the weekend to work on this project. I'll call your names and pay attention to who your partner is so you can start working on it."

I have a feeling that I'll be paired up with Max. There's no doubt in it. I placed my cheek on the palm of my hand and sighed, staring back of Max's head. I wonder what he's thinking right now.

– Max –

Why do I feel like someone is pricing holes on the back of my head?
