38. Eyes don't lie

Lucia~

"No-no-no" I breathed as the bullet went into Davide's back. His eyes turned red and he looked at me with soft eyes. He whispered something and fell on me.

"No-No Davide" I sat on the ground with him in my arms. The bullet went straight in his heart.

This can't happen.

"Kage bring the goddamn car!" I shouted on the top of my lungs without wasting any time and he immediately dashed to bring the car.

I made Davide lay on my lap as I opened his shirt to avoid any contact of the bacteria and took out his handkerchief from his pocket and placed it on the wound to stop the bleeding.

Please, please please god, You can't do this to us.

Bullets shots were echoing in the whole area. All our guards and assassins were shooting on the area from where the bullets were coming and some guards circled us shielding us from the passing bullets.

I held Davide's face in my hands, tapping his cheeks.

"Davide please honey don't close your eyes, you will be okay, we're going to the hospital" his breathing were harsh, his red eyes were looking at me the whole time as if he was fighting to not close them.

"Keep your eyes open Davide... please... for me" I pleaded.

Kage immediately came with the car and we both made Davide lay on the backseat. I sat inside keep his head on my lap. Kage started the car and dashed in full speed as I tried my best to not let Davide close his eyes.

"Sienna... all of you, leave the area immediately, don't shoot back." I shouted at her from my ear plug.

"NO.. we can handle, we're reapers, we can't run" She replied as I can hear her shooting. All the while I kept patting Davide's cheeks and kept the handkerchief on the wound.

"No you fucking can't, sienna.. I am not there.. you all should leave.. Now... It's my order for you..!" She replied after a few seconds and I throwed the ear plug outside the window .

"WHO WERE THEY? WHY DIDN'T YOU KEEP SURE OF THE SECURITY?" I shouted at Kage. A tear left my eyes and fell on his cheeks, he was slowly losing conciousness.

No Lucia keep calm, nothing is going to happen to him. "I fucking don't know Lucia, I don't know that they were hiding there" He replied driving.

"No Davide please... keep your eyes open!" I shouted at the top of my lungs when I saw Davide's eyes getting closed.

My whole body was trembling as my heartbeat was so fucking loud, I can't hear anything Kage was saying other than my own heartbeat.

Suddenly my gaze fell on the rear-view mirror. An unrecognizable black car was following us. My gaze hardened and anger rushed all over in my veins. It intoxicated me so much that I couldn't think of anything other than the safety of Davide.

The fuck. Not again, not a single scratch on my Davide again. I bend down and took out a rifle from under the seat.

"Open the trunk!" I ordered Kage who obliged. I sat sideway's pointing my rifle at them with Davide's head still on my lap. The driver smirked looking at me, he said and the way his lips move I knew what he said.

'Fucking bitch'

I showed him my middle finger, and he laughed. In a span of seconds, they also took out their guns but before they could do anything I shot at the driver's head making their car hit the streetlight.

Asshole.

As I sat straight suddenly two cars came Infront of ours from ahead and Kage stopped the car immediately. My whole body bend towards the seat and I held Davide tightly so he doesn't fell.
