The forest was dense, a beautiful yet chilling place. The dark, towering trees reached far beyond human grip. As we step deeper, the light begins to fade, transforming the forest into a strangely dark and quiet place. The air was thick with the unsettling distant voices of animals, and not a single flower's scent could dispel the uneasy odour.

Amidst this, a small girl stood before a towering tree. Though lost and separated from her parents, she appeared unconcerned. She stood still, gazing at the trees as if she had seen someone on the trunk of the tree, yet there was no one there.

"Sophia, where are you, honey? Please come to me!"

A woman's distressed voice echoed through the forest, her tone filled with desperation as she begged for her daughter's return. But the girl didn't react to the woman's distressed voice. She simply stood there.

Nearby, a frantic couple searched desperately for their daughter. The woman was in tears, her husband doing his best to comfort her despite his fear.

"Honey, we'll find her! No matter what, we will find her! Please, stay strong," he urged, trying to mask his terror.

"But what if she's fallen prey to a wild animal? No, no. We have to find her!" she cried, her voice breaking with uncontrollable sobs.

"Mommy... Daddy..."

Suddenly, they heard a trembling, familiar voice. Their hearts raced-they recognized it instantly. It was Sophia.

They dashed towards the sound, their footsteps echoing through the forest.

After a frantic run, they saw-Sophia, standing there and sobbing. The woman rushed to her, clasping her daughter tightly in her arms.

"Are you okay, honey?" the woman said while crying.

"Yes, mommy," Sophia said as she wept.

Then the man joined them and gave them a group hug.

Twenty minutes later, Sophia and her parents were in the car on the way to their house. Now, her mom and dad feel relieved after finding Sophia.

"We will never go to visit Lumina Hills again! That hill and forest give me a bad feeling," her mom announced.

Her dad nodded in agreement. He was completely focused on the road. Then another thing hit her mom's mind, and she said to Sophia, "Sophia, now you will never run away anywhere without informing me! Okay?"

"Okay," Sophia replied without turning away her gaze from outside the window. Suddenly her eyes caught something which made her fix her gaze on it. Then her lips swept into a smile. There was a long shadow chasing their car. It feels like the shadow somehow managed to control Sophia's mind.

"Rachel, what is the current time? Can you check on your phone?" the man said to his wife without turning his head towards her.

Rachel took out her phone from her purse and turned it on. She saw 9:00 pm flashing on the screen. "Honey, the time is 8:00 pm," Rachel replied.

"So, we can reach our house by 10:00 pm," he said while driving.

"Hope we can reach the house fast. We are all so tired today," Rachel said while stretching her arms.

Unaware of their daughter's peculiar behaviour the parents discussed the time and their exhaustion, hoping to reach home soon.
