"You're back,"
Tsukasa nodded, "Hi."
Rui smiled, standing up and walking over to the knight. "I didn't think I'd see you again so soon. Did something happen?"
"No," Tsukasa shook his head, stepping inside and closing the door behind him. "I just.. wanted to visit."
"Is that right?" Rui chuckled. "Well, I'm glad."
"How have things been?" Rui asked, "Is everything alright?"
Tsukasa shrugged, "It's the same as before," He replied bluntly, taking off his scarf and jacket and hanging them over a nearby chair. He sat down on the bed, his back flopping onto the mattress as he stared at the ceiling with a blank expression. "Nothing changed."
Nothing ever changes.
Nothing's new.
Rui hummed, sitting down next to Tsukasa. "Is that good or bad?"
Tsukasa shrugged again, not responding this time. In fact, he was already zoning out, Rui realized as he tilted his head to the side.
Well, it was something he usually did when he came to Rui's cabin. He couldn't really blame him for that.
After all, this place was probably an escape from his duties at the castle and from the king, if nothing else. Rui doubted that Tsukasa was even allowed to relax like this over there.
"Are you hungry?" Rui asked, walking over to the kitchen. "I can make you something if you want."
He heard Tsukasa groan in reply, "Your food tastes shitty.."
"Hm."
Rui chuckled awkwardly. He wasn't wrong- when Tsukasa came here for the first time after saving him, Rui could only make (shitty) burnt toast. And then Tsukasa taught him how to make pancakes, so he decided to learn from Saki how to make other dishes.
Not Miku. Never.. Miku. Or Toya. Saki was the only one allowed to cook. KAITO would be, too, but he was probably going to poison it (he'd done it before).
He could've sworn he'd gotten at least a bit better at cooking since the week Tsukasa spent here, though. But the knight did always seem to have some sort of aversion to food, and eating in general.
He wondered why. On top of all the issues he already had, Rui just kept on learning more and more.
"Do you at least want something to drink?" Rui offered, grabbing a glass.
It wasn't exactly food, but he didn't think he could convince Tsukasa to eat something. Not right now, at least, he was sure he'd be able to later.
Tsukasa shrugged from his spot on the bed, not bothering to look back at Rui in the kitchen. "Okay."
Rui sighed in relief. At least he was open to drinking... it was a start, at least. Or, he thought it was. In his eyes, it was. Was that enough?
It didn't really provide any nutrients..
But at least he wouldn't be dehydrated.
Rui took a bottle of water, walking back to Tsukasa and handing it over to him. "Here you go."
