Chapter 2: Suspicious Doubts

As Kiran scrolled through the messages, a thought began to gnaw at the edges of his mind. Could Nia be... that Nia? The one he had encountered once before, the daughter of his former tuition teacher whose antics had tested his patience to its limits?

Doubt crept in, casting a shadow over the budding connection between them. He couldn't shake the feeling that there was something familiar about her, something that stirred memories he had long since buried.

Furrowing his brow, Kiran typed out his suspicions, his fingers hesitating over the keys before finally hitting send.

"Wait a minute... are you by any chance Nia, the daughter of Mrs. Sharma?"

The message hung in the air, the seconds ticking by as Kiran waited for Nia's response. When it finally came, it was swift and unequivocal.

"No, I'm not that Nia. Just a coincidence that we have the same name!"

But try as she might to brush off his suspicions, Kiran couldn't shake the feeling of déjà vu that washed over him. He pressed on, his doubts refusing to be silenced.

"Are you sure? Because I distinctly remember a Nia Sharma who used to drive me up the wall with her endless chatter during tuition classes."

Nia's reply was swift, her tone tinged with amusement.

"I promise you, I'm not the Nia Sharma you're thinking of, and anyways I am Nia Saini. Just a regular girl with a penchant for stumbling upon interesting people on social media."

Despite her assurances, Kiran remained skeptical. It took nearly three or four attempts for Nia to finally convince him that she was indeed not the same Nia he had encountered in his past.

Reluctantly, Kiran let go of his suspicions, though a small seed of doubt continued to linger in the back of his mind. Nevertheless, he found himself drawn back into their conversation, the ease with which they exchanged words slowly erasing the barriers of distrust.

As the days turned into weeks, their messages became a constant presence in each other's lives. They laughed together, shared their dreams and fears, and discovered a connection that seemed to defy explanation.

Slowly but surely, what had begun as a chance encounter in the vast expanse of cyberspace blossomed into something more. Kiran and Nia found themselves forging a bond that transcended the boundaries of time and space, laying the foundation for a friendship that would withstand the tests of time.
