Tzuyu's POV

I took a leave of absence after hearing the sad news from Sally's doctor.

I don't want to be away from Sally even a second, and I'm going to fill her with love while I can.

There's only a week left, and she's getting so weak.

She's barely talking to any of us because she doesn't recognize us sometimes. She also collapses most of the time, so we had to be extra careful around her.

Chaeyoung and Mina knew about her condition and we asked them not to tell anyone first because we want our moments together be cherished and not tampered with others.

"Sally... Do you remember what you told us 2 months ago? You said you wanted to go back to this beach before you leave us..." Sana said while holding her hand and kneeling next to her wheelchair.

"And you promised that you'll always look after us... Don't break your promise, okay?" I said.

She looked at me and Sana and suddenly smiled.

"I love you, mommy... I love you, daddy..." She said making me and Sana tear up.

It's been a while since she recognized us, and this is making us feel the end of everything.

"Thank you for making us happy for a while, Sally... You'll always have a special space in our hearts." I said.

She reached out for us and we immediately hugged her tight.

Before the night came, we got back home and Sally wanted to look at the night sky.

"I'll always be that brightest star... Looking after you..." She said while I'm holding her hand.

"You're brighter than that star..." I said and kissed her temple.

"I want to rest..." She said.

I nodded and took her back in the room.

Sana just finished getting her bed ready and I carried her to the bed.

Before we leave her so she could rest, she held our hands tighter than normal and she was just smiling at us.

"It hurts... But I want to rest..." She said.

"Go take some rest... We'll just be here..." Sana said.

"I meant... I'm not going to wake up anymore..." She said.

Sana then looked at me and I just nodded with a smile.

"I don't want you to suffer anymore... Go take a rest..." I said and placed a kiss on her hand.

"I can't see you hurting... Take the rest you need..." Sana said and tucked a hair behind Sally's ear.

"I love you both..." She said.

"We love you too..." Sana said and kissed her forehead.

Sally then slept with slow and deep breaths which was different from the previous nights, and by the way Sana just sat down there, I know she wouldn't want to leave Sally.

"I'll set up another bed for you..." I said and kissed Sana's forehead before leaving the room.

I managed to put a single bed and a mattress for Sana to lie on while she just watched Sally sleep in silence.

Sana's hand was just on top of Sally's chest feeling the slow heartbeat and stroking our daughter's hair while giving her kisses from time to time.

I just sat there holding Sally's hand and waiting for the time to come.

When I saw Sana's tear fell, I also felt mine fall.

Her hand reached out to mine and she placed it over Sally's chest.

Feeling her last few heartbeats, I couldn't stop myself from crying and when it stopped, Sana and I sobbed not even knowing how Papa managed to hear us.

Papa called the funeral services for us and Sana and I just sat there looking at our beautiful daughter for the last time.

"We promised her that we won't cry too much... She might get mad at us..." I said when the funeral services left after taking Sally to be cremated.

Sana hugged me tight and we both cried in each other's arms.

When everything was settled, our friends came, and I think Papa was the one who told them.

After the funeral, I made sure that the room that Sally used is clean and there's no trace of her so Sana and I could move on.

This went on for about a month, no one was chatting for long period of time, the house was just purely lifeless.

"You know... When your parents died... I didn't know how to move on... But that's life... You need to face it or it'll haunt you down... Tzuyu... Sana... I know it's hard... But hold onto what Sally told you... Move on and make new good memories... Start again... You're actually lucky that she got to tell you everything personally... Your parents just... Died..." Papa said.

Sana stood up from her seat and hugged Papa. I also followed and we both cried to him.

"She's just by your side... Until you can stand on your own again... She'll always be with you." He said.

I hate this, I hate everything that's happening. Sana and I lost Sally... And now... Just a few more weeks, I'll lose my memories.

Sana is still broken... I can't leave her mourning alone.

But if I made her happy by being childish to her, maybe I can divert her attention from Sally and make her move on faster.
