I have never messed up a recipe, ever. The bozos next to me in the car would never realise something was wrong with my cooking.

But last night was different.

"I feel like it is missing something." Beomgyu had figured it out in a single bite.

I wasn't scared of failure or anything like that. In fact, I believe that the more you mess up, the more you learn to perfect your skills.

But it was Beomgyu of all the people. He was probably the clueless one of us all, it was an opinion he himself agreed with. To have him point out that something was wrong with my cooking, my pride was hurt.

Which was why, I spent the whole night flipping to every cookbook I owned to see what I could've possibly missed.

Spoiler alert, it's been more than 10 hours and I was still checking recipes.

"What are you reading?" Kai asked me, unable to peek in at my phone. Him learning that I was stressed out over something like that was the last thing I wanted.

"Just...things." I shot him a quick smile and looked back at my phone. I made a conscious effort to hide my screen from him.

"Guys I think Taehyun is reading dirty stuff." Kai said out loud for everyone in the car to hear.

"No, not that!" I tried to refute.

I heard a chuckle from the driver's seat. "It's nothing to be embarrassed about, I read a lot of those when I was in my sophomore year." Yeonjun spoke.

" No, seriously I'm not. " I winced at the piece of information he just revealed. I did not need to know that.

"I'm simply going over some things for the meeting." I should be doing that but here I was, scrolling through Serious Eats.

"We have a meeting?" Beomgyu looked up from his iPad. He was sketching something again.

"That's literally where we are going?" Soobin looked back at us from the passenger seat.

"Then why are you here?" Beomgyu asked him.

"To supervise you four?" Soobin replied.

"What were we talking about again?"

"Dunno, man. Forgot."
