As a doctor you have to do what's best for your patients. But that was extremely difficult for a patient like Farmer. Harvey found Farmer to be the most danger-prone person he had ever met. If it wasn't mining, it was trying to catch some dangerous-exotic fish, or chasing his animals around his farm. Farmer just couldn't stay still.

At first Harvey found it amusing, maybe even cute. The grown man that was Farmer behaved like a child in many ways, constantly getting hurt. But his hatred for doctors truly was the reason the both of them could not see eye to eye.

That was something Harvey never understood, he was qualified to treat him, yet Farmer refused to be touched. It didn't matter much though, because eventually Farmer always returned to the clinic, with new bruises and cuts, and Harvey always placed ointments and stitches as they bickered over the wounds. And the cycle always continued that way.

This time, however, this time wasn't like the others.

Farmer had been brought into the clinic by Marlon, he was cold to the touch. Marlon was crying over his limp body, "I'm so sorry. I should have gone down sooner- I should have known something was wrong- I should have-"

"Marlon it's ok, you didn't know. Farmer is going to be alright now." Harvey had said in a calm tone. Internally, he felt the panic buzz within him.

The pair carried Farmer over to a hospital bed and emergency care began. Harvey rushed to call Maru and prepare himself.

For the first time in his career, Harvey feared he might lose a patient. So after the long surgery was performed successfully, and Maru had gone back home, Harvey found himself alone by Farmer's bed. He stayed there for the entire night, and then the next, and the next. It became a daily occurrence.

Sometimes he would wake up in the middle of the night, walk downstairs to the clinic and just sit next to Farmer. Worry stained his mind as he watched the monitors, anything could happen the moment that Harvey left the room. A still heart, a blocked airway, and that would be it.

So out of comfort, Harvey took to sleeping downstairs in the chair next to Farmer's bed. If any emergencies occurred, Harvey would be prepared.

Farmer had finally woken from his coma, and Harvey couldn't justify observing Farmer at night anymore. Farmer was a grown man who could call for help if he needed it.

Harvey fell into his bed for the first time in a week, it was warm, comforting... but worrisome. Harvey couldn't get the thought of Farmer out of his mind.

Farmer had a history of hating medical treatment, so what if he ran off and got hurt while trying to run away? What if he passed out again? What if his stitches open and he bleeds out?

Harvey tossed and turned under his blanket with his thoughts. He couldn't handle the loudness of his mind, and gave in. With a blanket wrapped around his shoulders he gently tiptoed down the stairs.

It would just be to check up on him, Harvey thought to himself. Nothing else.

After quietly entering the room, he checked on Farmer. With a sigh of relief, Harvey found that Farmer was indeed still in his bed, and the monitors read that all of his vitals were stable.
