"Agh! Gorya, I can't do this anymore," Rose sighed for the 7th time. She had been trying to make a bouquet by herself for more than 2 hours, but her hard work wasn't paying off. Gorya had invited Rose and Hana to come to the flower shop to spend some time together after school. Rose also wanted to try making a flower bouquet; she thought it must be easy, but she was proved wrong.
"You can do it, just try," Hana said.
"Yes, don't lose hope," Gorya added. They had been encouraging Rose since she started.
"This is the 43rd time you two have said that to me, but it's not helping," Rose replied.
Kanning was smiling at them, trying to hold back the urge to laugh; otherwise, she would receive a death glare from them. "I'm giving up; this isn't my thing," Rose said, sitting down on the chair and leaning in.
"Oh, come on, cheer up," Kanning said as she shoved a chip into Rose's mouth. Instantly, Rose's frown turned into a smile. Indeed, food could make her smile. Mr. Gawao watched the girls and shook his head.
"Oh shit! It's already 8 pm!" Rose exclaimed.
"You should call your driver then?" Gorya suggested.
She dialed his number. Her driver picked up after some rings "where are you? Can you pick me up?"
"...."
"Oh! You are picking up my mom..."
"..."
"No I don't want to wait that long..I will walk on my own then"
"...."
Rose cut the call. "What did he said?" Gorya asked
"He's busy; maybe I'll just walk," Rose said.
"You sure you can walk alone? It's already dark" Hana said. "Don't worry, I know self defense also I have paper spray" she take out the paper spray and show it to them. "Okay then go safely also leave a message so I can make sure you reach safely in home" gorya said. "I will"
"When are you going to leave, Hana?" Gorya asked the girl standing beside her.
"I'll leave with you, Gorya," Hana replied.
"Okay then, bye," Rose waved at them.
"Return home safely!" Gorya shouted.
"I will, you too!" Rose replied before closing the door behind her and starting her path. She stopped in front of a dark alley. This was the shortcut to her way home, but it seemed more dangerous at night.
"Should I?" Rose asked herself. Her brain was telling her not to go, but her heart was saying the opposite. She decided to follow her brain this time because she always followed her heart and got into trouble; that's how she got the nickname 'troublemaker' from her brother.
She turned around and bumped into someone.
"I'm sorry, uncle," Rose blurted out before even looking at the person.
"Uncle?!" Rose exclaimed. Now, Rose took a good look, and it was none other than Kavin.
"Why did you call me uncle, pretty lady?" Kavin asked her.
"What should I call you then if you look like one?" Rose commented sarcastically.
Kavin's eyes scanned her uniform. "You're from Kocher... I see. So, what's your name?"
"It's not your concern."
"You're playing hard to get, pretty lady," Kavin remarked. His comment almost made her laugh. "Do I look like I'm trying hard to get?" Without continuing the conversation, she passed beside him.
"Where are you heading? It's already dark," Kavin turned his head around.
"I know where I'm going," Rose replied without looking back at him.
"See you later then, pretty lady," Kavin shouted as he walked towards his car.
"Not in your dreams," Rose mumbled to herself while walking faster until she reached her home.
"Ugh, today was tiring," Rose said as she locked the door behind her, putting down her backpack on the table and heading straight to the shower.

Rose woke up to the sound of her phone ringing, jolting her awake from a deep sleep. She glanced at the caller ID and answered groggily, "Hello?"

"Oh, it's you. Did you find something?"

"Good. Keep an eye on them."

"Oh, don't worry, I'm not that naive."

"Okay, then. Bye."
Rose ended the call and tossed her phone onto her bed. She sat up, stretching her limbs and taking a deep breath as she slowly woke up from her sleep.

Two Days Later
Ray kept calling his friend until he finally picked up. "Hey! Why are you calling me at 2 AM!?" Ren asked groggily.
"Sorry, I forgot about the time difference," Ray replied.
"Just tell me why you're calling me."
"I just got on the plane to Thailand, and I need you to pick me up."
"Where's your family?"
"They don't know I'm coming. I told them I might visit next month. I want to surprise them!"
"Then call me when you land."
"Listen, I've already told you I'm settling permanently in Thailand. You have to visit my house."
"Okay, goodnight."
"Wait, are you going to pick me up?"
"Fine, I will. Now let me sleep or I won't."
"Damn, okay. Goodnight, bro."
Ray ended the call, looking forward to surprising his family in Thailand.
