"Ugh, my back is killing me," Rose groaned as she stood up from her chair, arching her back and stretching her arms high above her head. She had been studying for what felt like an eternity, completely losing track of time. Just as she let out a weary sigh, the sound of the main door opening downstairs caught her attention.
Curiosity sparked in her tired mind.Curious about who might be arriving at such an odd hour, she opened her room door and quietly closed it behind her,Leaving her room. Her footsteps echoed softly as she descended the staircase, but as she reached the bottom step, her pace faltered.
There was someone she didn’t expect to see—Ren.
He turned toward her, sensing her presence as if drawn by some invisible force. Their eyes locked, and for a moment, time seemed to stand still. The weight of recognition hit them both like a crashing wave.
"You?" Rose whispered, her voice laced with disbelief and the faintest trace of irritation. "What are you doing here?"
Ren’s brows furrowed, clearly just as surprised. "That’s my line. Why are you here?"
Her gaze shifted past him, landing on the familiar faces of the other F4 members behind him. Confusion knitted her brows tighter. "Wait a second—why are all of you here?" she asked, her voice tinged with both suspicion and frustration.
Before she could demand answers, Ray stepped forward with a casual grin, draping an arm over her shoulders. "Relax, Rose. Let me introduce you properly. Everyone, meet my little sister."
Ren’s eyebrows shot up in disbelief. "This annoying girl is your sister?"
Rose’s jaw dropped. "Who are you calling annoying?" she snapped, her eyes narrowing.
"Brother," she hissed, turning to glare at Ray, "what the hell? Why didn’t you tell me this idiot was your friend?"
Ren bristled at the insult. "Idiot? Really? Who are you calling an idiot?"
"Obviously, I’m talking about you," she retorted, crossing her arms with an air of finality.
"Alright, that’s enough, both of you," Ray interrupted, stepping between the two before the situation could escalate further.
Rose crossed her arms, still glaring at Ren. "Fine, I’ll stop—if you tell them to leave."
"Excuse me?" Ren scoffed, his tone dripping with sarcasm. "You think you can just kick us out? Who do you think you are?"
Their bickering reignited, much to the amusement of the others.
Ray sighed heavily, rubbing his temples. He glancing over at Thyme and the others. "We seriously need to stop them."
Good luck with that," Thyme chimed in, as he watched the escalating chaos. "Honestly, it looks like they’re enjoying this way too much." Thyme pointed at Kavin and Mj.
Kavin and MJ, who were both watching the scene unfold like it was a live drama.
"But… have they met before? It kinda seems like they have," Ray muttered, more to himself than anyone else.
Thyme shrugged, uninterested. "Beats me."
Ray’s attention shifted as his eyes landed on Thyme’s face. A bruise on his nose caught his eye, and his brows furrowed in concern.
"Wait a second Don't tell me you got into a fight or something? What happened to your nose?"
"Oh, this?" Thyme replied nonchalantly, touching the tender spot. "Some girl threw a basketball at me not for too long ago"
"What?! Who was it?" Ray demanded, his protective instincts kicking in.
Thyme shrugged again, his expression annoyed. "I didn’t get a good look at her. She’s lucky though—otherwise, she’d have to pay for ruining my handsome face."
"What do you mean ‘a girl’—" Ray began, but something clicked in his mind, cutting his sentence short. "Wait. Didn’t you guys said you’ve been going to Kocher High?"
"Yeah, why?" Thyme replied, confused by the sudden shift in Ray’s tone.
Ray’s eyes narrowed as realization dawned on him. Everything was starting to make sense now. "Oh… now I got it," he mumbled under his breath
