The other family members at the house, except for the parents, aren't important. That's why I didn't have anyone interact with them.
ALSO, sorry for the LONG wait. I've been very busy and stressed with the end of the semester. :(
As we pulled up to the house, I felt extremely nervous. My hands were sweating, even though it was chilly today. My heart thumped and thumped; beating out of my chest. I've never felt like this before. For anyone. I looked up at the house and, wow, it was huge. I didn't know Brayden was this wealthy. But I had some thought, but it was never this.
Now I was insecure. My car was a dump, and the dress I was wearing was one too. His parents and family probably had designer clothing on.
I took a deep breath before getting out of the car. My brothers, who were in the back of the car, got out too. I carried Caleb in my arm and my purse in the other. Elijah walked next to me with a bag in his hand, which had Caleb's change of clothes just in case he got dirty or wanted to change. I wasn't really sure how long we would stay, so I made sure to come prepared.
As we got closer to the door, I got more nervous than I was in the last second before. I lifted my hand and knocked on the big white door. I placed Caleb down, he jumped with excitement, and grabbed the bag from Elijah.
The door opened and I gasped. A beautiful brunette boy that I would recognize anywhere stood in front of me. "Hi Brayden."
"Hi Nora," he gulped. We stood there, I looked at him. He was wearing a nice pair of slacks and a dress shirt. I could smell him. He smells so good. I just wanted -
"Hi again!" Caleb yelled, interrupting our stare down. Bryaden smiled and kneeled down to his level. Caleb was a little short for his age, but he was still so cute.
"Hey Buddy, guess what my mom made for you?" Bradyen teased.
"What?" he beamed.
"Cupcakes!" Bradyen whispered, but we still heard it.
Caleb jumped up and down. "Yay! Yay! This is the best day ever!" Caleb ran into the house.
"Caleb!" Oh gosh, they probably hate us now.
Bradyen chuckled. "He's fine."
"Oh hi baby!" I heard a woman's voice shriek when she saw Caleb.
"Come in." He said. Elijah and I walked into the house, and it immediately smelt like a home. It felt like a home. I couldn't explain it. There was that warmth and smelt to it. This is what I was working so hard for. This home.
Elijah stayed close to me as we walked through the Mud room and into the living and kitchen. A crowd of people were standing and talking to each other. Not a crazy bunch, but around ten to fifteen, which was a lot to me. Everyone stared at us when we walked in. I gulped loudly, and started to fidget with my hands, like I always do.
