"Begin at the beginning and go on till you come to the end; then stop." I quietly read to myself.
*CRACK*

Lazily moving my head, I gazed at the being that made the sound. A house-elf with large, green, tennis-ball like eyes stared at me. His pointed ears were flopping around. "Mistress Malfoy, Master Malfoy sent me to get you. It is time to leave." the house-elf squeaked. With a sigh, I closed my book. "Tell Father that I will be down as soon as I am ready, Dobby." I sniffed. With a nod of his head the House-elf disapparated away.

*CRACK*

I swung my legs over the edge of my bed and let my feet sink into the plush white carpet. I set Alice in Wonderland down onto the nightstand by my bed. Standing up I walked over to the other side of my bed where my mahogany vanity table sat. I gracefully sunk onto the chair and started undoing my braids. My naturally straight hair now had a bit of a wave to it from the braids. I put my platinum blonde hair up in a half up - half down do. I grabbed my dark green wizarding robes and slipped them on. The Dark green made my grey eyes stand out. Grabbing my Snowbell and phoenix feather wand, I looked over my room to see if I left anything behind.

My bed is perfectly made, the purple covers tucked in neatly. My vanity and wardrobe are clean. I see the book sitting on the nightstand and quickly put it back on the bookshelf by the door. I exited my room and walked down two flights of stairs to get to my family's drawing room. My mother was standing next to my father. Her blonde hair pulled back into a bun, her light blue dress complemented her grey eyes. My father's blonde platinum hair fell to his shoulders. His cane rested in his right hand.

My school trunk was sitting in the middle of the room next to my twin brother's. Draco had a cage on his, in the cage was an eagle owl. His platinum blonde hair was slicked back and his grey eyes narrowed in on me. "You are late."

Rolling my eyes I shot back, "A Queen is never late, nor is she early, she arrives preciously when she means to."

"Children, it is time to go." My father announced. He grabbed my brother's shoulder and apparated away with him. My mother grabbed my hand and together we popped away. I felt like I was being squeezed through a small tube, all the air being sucked from my body. As soon as it started, it stopped. I landed on the train's station platform 9 3/4, next to my Mother. Our luggage landing next to us, our house-elf sent it over. Mother levitated the luggage and walked closer to the scarlet train. She set the luggage next to the train attendant, he would move it onto train for us.

"Well better get on the train and get a good compartment." My father drawled, he strutted behind us and sat Draco's luggage next to mine. Draco stood next to me and we looked at our parents. "Now remember that Severus will be there to keep an eye on you both. Do not disgrace this family. I will have your gifts of congratulations on being sorted in Slytherin sent over in the morning." My fathers blue eyes gazed over both us with a stern look.

"Make sure to write and do not get in any form of trouble." My mother pursed her lips at the thought of my brother or I misbehaving. "Off you trot." She waved her hand and Draco and I climbed onto the train. Father and Mother never have shown affection towards us, especially out in public.

I followed my brother into a compartment in the back of the train. I gracefully sat in the seat, Draco taking one across from me. Our compartment door swung open with a bang. Two boys stood in the door. The one on the left was short and large, he had a flat nose and a pudding bowl style haircut. On the right was a tall boy with big feet, bristly hair that hung low on his forehead, and broad shoulders. They both had gorilla like arms. "Crabbe," Draco nodded at the boy on the left, "Goyle." They grunted and plopped down on the bench next to Draco.

Rolling my eyes, I gazed out the window at people running around, trying to get their children on the train. Draco had been forced to play with Crabbe and Goyle since we were kids. To call them morons would be an understatement. Between the both of them, I would be surprised if a single brain cell could be found. The train slowly pulled out of the station, I watched as families waved good-bye, kids were hanging out of windows to catch of glimpse of their parents. I watched the scenery change from the city to hills and grasslands.

"Anything from the trolley dears?" Our compartment door opened and an elderly woman poked her head in. I inclined my head at Draco as he elbowed his bodyguards. They stood up and left the compartment.

"You could go get them yourself." Draco muttered. His steeled gaze fixated out the window.

"Now why would I do that, when I have servants to wait on me." I stared him down. I was about to say something when Crabbe and Goyle returned. Their arms were packed full of sweets. Goyle handed me a good amount of cauldron cakes and a few pumpkin juices. We ate in silence until there was a pile of wrappers surrounding the boys.

"Did you know that Harry Potter is on the train." A girl stated as she entered the compartment. Her long brown hair was pulled into a ponytail. She sat next to me and faced Draco, Crabbe, and Goyle.

"Father told us as much." Draco snipped. "He told us," Draco looked at me, "that we need to befriend him. Come Crabbe and Goyle, let's go find him." The boys stood up and left. Great, now I am stuck alone with Pansy "Pug-face" Parkinson.

"Are you excited to start Hogwarts, Gemma?" Pansy's nasally voice cut through the silence.

"I would have rather preferred to be at Durmstrang Institute, but Mother did not want Draco and I to be so far away. Which means I am stuck here in a school that is infested with Mudbloods and Blood traitors." I sneered. Also with your horrendous whining all the time, I added in my head.

"Tell me about it, I can not tell you how many vermin I passed to get here." She reached over and grabbed a pumpkin pastry that was hidden under a pile of wrappers.

"Hmmmph." I pursed my lips at that statement and turned my head back to the window. This school would have turned out far better had the Founders heeded Salazar Slytherin's advice. If they banned Mudbloods and Blood traitors from attending the world would be a better place. I stood up and quickly changed into my school robes. A white shirt, black skirt, black tie, and my black wizarding robes.

The compartment door slammed open and Draco, Crabbe, and Goyle came running in. Goyle was clutching his finger and howling like a baby. Crabbe sat among the pile of wrappers and Draco plopped down next to him. "Dear Merlin!" I exclaimed. I stood up and turned my steely gaze on the boys. In a cool, commanding voice, I said: "Draco! Stop slouching! Crabbe throw away all those wrappers, this is not a place for trash! All three of you need to get changed into your school robes. For the love of Salazar, Goyle, stop acting like a fool and shut up. Give me your finger and let me see." Draco sat up straight and Crabbe rushed to get all the trash out. Goyle handed me his finger and I looked at the disgusting thing. "It's a bite from something. What happened...?"

Draco explained all about how Harry Potter was associating with a Mudblood and a Blood traitor Weasely. He refused Draco's friendship and then set the Blood traitor's rat on Goyle. "Who does he thinks he is? Just because he got lucky and sent the Dark Lord away does not make him anything special. I am a Malfoy, Malfoy's do not get disrespected like that. I am going to write to Father about this."

"What do you expect him to do about it Draco? Whether you want to admit it or not; Harry Potter is a celebrity, a Hero. Father has enough suspicion surrounding him, if he starts bad-mouthing the 'Savior of the Wizarding World' he will be in trouble. Stop being a whiny brat and start thinking. If Potter wants to dirty himself with that filth then let him. Goyle go see the Head Boy and have him fix your finger. I do not want to even know what kind of diseases that rat gave you." I sat back down and grabbed a  cauldron cake from my rapidly depleting pile.

The boys left to change and for Goyle to go see the Head Boy. When they came back in Pansy started talking to Draco about school. I tuned them out and watched as the sun set behind some trees. I am so looking forward to getting sorted to Slytherin and climbing into those soft green bed that Mother used to tell me about. "We will be reaching Hogsmeade in five minutes' time. Please leave your luggage on the train, it will be taken to the school separately." A voice rang out over the speakers.

The train pulled into the Hogsmeade station and we all stood up to get off. Here we go, I am one step closer to my future.
