Enigmatic Emptiness

Light streamed through the dorm room waking me from my slumber. Rolling over I noticed that the other girl's beds were empty. I am late. Shooting up out of bed I quickly ran into the bathroom and did my business. Tugging on the Gryffindor uniform I sprinted down the stairs intending on running out the common room but found two red-head twins blocking my path.

"Look what we have here Gred." The twin on the left said.

"Ah yes, Forge, the little Malfoy." The right one said.

"We have -" started the left.

"Been looking -" continued the right.

"For you." They finished together. What a nuisance.
"

Look tweedle-dee and tweedle-dum, I don't have time to deal with your filth. Go cry to your mommy about how your pompous brother's feelings got hurt. While you're at it; tell her that it would help it she would close her legs, maybe then the Weasely's would actually be able to afford something. Now. Move." I sent one my deadliest glares at them. I saw one of them shiver slightly and a smirk crossed my face.

"Stay away from my family." The one on the left said before they both disappeared out the common room door. Like I want to talk to dirty Blood-traitors. I guess I can start relaxing. I had heard about the Weasley Twin's pranks and after giving their brother a tongue-lashing, I was expecting a prank. Ever since then I had waking up at different times and doing my best to keep my schedule sporadic, now I can relax the tiniest bit. There is always the fact that I am stuck in a house of filth and will be for the next six years, so maybe no relaxing for me.

I walked down to the Great Hall and got there just as breakfast was ending. I grabbed some toast and a handful of grapes before walking out to the Greenhouses. Like always, the day flew by and I found myself in the library. I was munching on a cauldron cake when Draco walked up to me and handed me a folded up letter. "Father sent this. He told me that I need to give it to you."

After reading the letter, I refolded it and put it in my bag

After reading the letter, I refolded it and put it in my bag. "It seems that you still have a sister." I turned to to Draco, he was still standing next to the table.

"Seems like. I will be in the Slytherin Common Room with Crabbe and Goyle. Pansy will meet you by the Great Hall tomorrow morning. The Slytherins do not feel comfortable with a Gryffindor in their common room. In time, they might be willing. Until then you and Pansy will be meeting outside of the common room." I gave him a a nod and he strutted away.

Great, so more time with Pansy. Whatever it takes to stay in this family is what I will do, even when that entails dealing with Pansy Parkinson. I pulled out the letter and re-read it, my eyes locked onto the signature. I felt of twinge of something in the pit of my stomach but pushed it aside. Malfoys don't show emotions.

Before I knew it, it was Thursday. The one day I was hoping would just magically disappear, the day of flying lessons. Draco had been boasting all week about the time he flew so high he saw a muggle's flying contraption. All week all that came out of Draco's mouth was gloats; about our money, our parents, flying, the sweets that we were sent, our blood, and everything about our life.
