After I finished writing my letters I gave them to Draco's owl. He had shown up at the window halfway through my letter. I gave the owl clear instructions to take the letter in his beak to Severus Snape and the letter tied to his leg to Draco. Climbing into bed, I closed the curtain around my bed and sat there.

All I want to do is cry; I felt the tears filling my eyes but I refused to let them spill; Malfoy's do not cry. Crying is for the weak, I have already disgraced my name enough, I do not want to add crier to the list. This day has been the worst day of my life, why does a stupid dirty hat get to decide my future? Why did it decide to destroy my family, my life? I laid down in bed and hugged my knees close to my chest, with a deep sigh I closed my eyes and entered a fitful sleep.

Waking up early in the morning, I was able to get to the bathroom first. After doing my morning business and showering, I slipped on my school uniform. The black skirt, white botton-up shirt, black robes, and Gryffindor tie. I can not wait until this is a Slytherin tie. I grabbed my bag that had my text books and writing material in it, my wand was stashed in my robe's pocket. Quickly walking down to the common room I spotted a group of third years heading down to the Great Hall, I walked behind them and paid extra attention on how to get to the Great Hall.

Hogwarts, had one hundred and forty-two staircases. Some were wide and grand, others were narrow. A few had steps that vanished or sucked your foot into the stair. The staircases periodically would move around and change direction. Worse than that was the doors, some of them had to be tickled or asked nicely to open. Some were not even doors. Luckily, the third years knew where they were going and I was able to avoid any tricks.

They walked right into the Great Hall but I leaned against the wall to wait for Draco. It was only 6:50 in the morning. I watched as Ghosts breezed past; all of the sudden the School's caretaker, Argus Filch, came running around the corner chasing after Peeves the Poltergeist. Peeves had a handful of papers in his hand and was teasing Filch with them. Filch's cat, Mrs. Norris, came running after them. She had dust-colored fur and lamp like eyes. Peeves disappeared up the staircase with Filch and Mrs. Norris following after him. Rolling my eyes at the antics, I finally spotted my brother's platinum blonde hair. Draco walked up to me, he sent Crabbe and Goyle into the Great Hall.
