We all entered Mr. D's office for the last time because of what we did while with Artemis. He was sitting at his desk of course drinking diet coke; a glimpse of flusteration on his face. I placed Blue-Devil in my belt that was attached to my bronze breastplate. After my accident the ambrosia healed me the best it could but I have a scar in my cornea and around my eye that will never go away. I guess you could say that I am a half-blind, half-blood.
"What's our mission now?" Miles said, leaninging against the foundation of the cabin. Haylen and Ollie were looking at each other and Jude and Ariel were just there. I sighed, crossing my arms.
"I'm glad you asked Miles. There is a wonderful bottle of Chateau Lafite Rothschild at the bottom of the sea right out there." He swung his arms to the beautiful ocean outside of his office. "If you go get that bottle, I'll give you your freedom." He smirked. I looked at Miles who had his eyebrows raised with concern.
"Deal!" Jude announced, we all looked at him in shock. We didn't even have time to discuss this.
"Wonderful." Mr. D clapped. "You have exactly one hour from now." We raced out of the office.
"Jude, you idiot." Haylen stated, "How are we going to get that bottle of wine?"
"You forget. I'm Poseidon's son." He smirked a disgusting smirk and tried to manipulate the water but failed. "I don't understand."
"You really think I'd make it that easy?" Mr. D yelled from his cabin. Jude crossed his arms and sat down on the beach shore.
"Mr. D is right, he wouldn't make it this easy." Haylen stated, placing his hands on his head to think. Hard to do when Jude is near though.
"I have an idea." Miles started, "Ivy and Haylen will work together to manipulate and stabilize the water."
"How?" Haylen questioned, "We can't do what Jude does."
"Not exactly, but with your gravity Haylen and with Ivy's sun rays she can evaporate enough so that we can get the bottle." Ollie nodded in agreement.
"I'll go get the bottle." Ollie volunteered.
"No you'll get hurt." Haylen protested, grabbing Ollivers hand. "I can't lose you. Not this way."
"You won't, lovebirds." Miles rolled his eyes, "I'll do it."
We practiced a little before we started the actual thing to not just see if we could do it but to give Miles a little reassurance. Haylen and I were actually a good team together.
"I think we're ready." I stated, nodding at the boys. Miles took off his Camp Half-Blood shirt which had holes and was cut into a tank top over the year of traveling.
"Take a picture. It'll last longer." Miles said to Haylen and Olliver who were admiring his body. I laughed at this joke but I caught his evergreen eyes.
"Okay." Miles said. "I'm ready. All you have to do is lift about 5 feet up. I can swim the other 5 to the bottle itself." He nodded and dived into the sea without warning us.
Haylen and I quickly got into possession and put our left palm together which quickly raised the 5 feet of water from the area Miles dove into. Haylen used his right hand to try and separate the rest of the water for Miles while I used my rays to evaporate it.
It's working, I know it is! He can do this! My vision shifted Miles almost to the surface when he started to become faint; sinking back down to the bottom. For the love of the gods!
