"Stay still." I say to an Aphrodite I was trying to heal in the infirmary. She refused to take any nectar from me saying that this was all Apollos' fault. She wanted someone more "qualified" How could someone so beautiful be a royal pain in the-

"Ivy." Chiron stated, interrupting my train of thought. "You're late to Swords & Shielding." I sighed, taking off my nurse jumpsuit revealing a pair of shorts and my Camp Half-Blood shirt; complete with my brown combat boots. My hair was braided and ran in a long line down my back.

"Good, she's Niall's problem now." I smiled and ran out of the little cabin; my satchel with Blue-Devil in it around my shoulders.

It's been three months since I arrived at Camp Half-Blood but nothing out of the ordinary has happened. Well, I mean if you don't count the abnormal amount of heat that's been radiating off the sun. The rumor that got started was that Apollo gave up his duty to Hades and now everyone was suffering in his name. However the heat didn't affect the Apollos' because we were blessed with fireproof skin and could adapt to warm temperatures. I did feel bad though because I couldn't help the other campers, so that is why I started going early to the infirmary to help those with heat stroke.

It took me a minute to get to the Armory. At least it was something I was fairly good at; dueling. Who knew? When I arrived I quickly went to put on my metal breast plate; it framed my body well enough to protect me but still gave me enough movement to defend myself.

"You're late." Steve our instructor said when I walked into the arena.

"Sorry Steve, an Aphrodite refused to do as I asked." I spun Blue-Devil in my hand; giving myself a warm up.

"No more excuses Ivy. Get with Miles." He instructed, walking in front of the class. I went where Miles was and tapped on his shoulder

"Hey partner." I smirked and placed Blue-Devil behind my head.

"Begin." Steve said, as a horn blasted in the arena.

Miles and I circled around each other until he finally struck at me; I quickly defended myself and blocked his strike. I smirked up at him, sliding under him. I struck at him and I was the first to draw blood.

"That wasn't very nice of you." Miles said. "I'm impressed." He said and smirked.

"I'm competitive, what can I say?" I smiled and struck at him again this time he blocked me. Before I knew what was happening my vision blurred. A Demeter girl who was battling an Aries boy fell and hit her head; the Aries boy however didn't stop and was fixing to strike. I came out of whatever happened and Miles struck my neck in an accident and that is when it happened.

"Get away from her!" I shouted and ran toward the Demeter girl. "Quickly I need something soft." I say as one of my classmates threw me a green bandana. Not only did the Demeter girl hit her head; she suffered from heat exhaustion and was dehydrated. "We have to get her to the infirmary." I say to Steve and he nods.

"You and Miles take her."

Miles quickly helped me lift up the Demeter girl and we rushed her to Niall. The infirmary was so packed full of heat exhaustion patients that we had to lay her on a sleeping bag by the medicine area. We exited the cabin after explaining what happened to Chiron and he told us to just take the rest of the day off.

I decided to go to the strawberry fields because I knew nature would most likely help me relax my brain for a while. Miles having nothing else to do decided to come along.

"So Miles, How long have you been here at Camp?" I asked as we made our way through the maze of strawberries."

"Since I was 5." He smiled sadly down at me. "But, it wasn't all bad. I actually got to meet one of the greatest heroes of Camp."
