I hate Mondays. I mean, who actually likes them? There's nothing I hate more than crawling out of bed and knowing I have work to do. I especially hated going to school. Although it's just a facade, going to Eden and keeping up with my work is absolutely exhausting.
I slip out of bed, my feet hitting the carpet below. I have a foul look on my face, the face of an agent who thinks her mission is dumb. Part of me wonders why I accepted this job, but the other part knows I'd be dead without it.
I decide to grab a shower, my hair was super greasy. I let the hot water hit my back. It was almost too hot, I turned the temperature down. I washed my hair twice before conditioning it. Then I washed all the grimy old makeup off of my face. Then I cleaned off my body.
I stepped out of the shower and dried off. Then I put on my uniform undershirt and dress. I wouldn't bother with the ribbon and my tights just yet. I sat down at my vanity and began to blow dry my hair. The soundtrack from some trashy animated show blared from my speaker. I knew all the words, unfortunately.
When my hair was finally dried, I started my makeup. I kept it simple and classy, light eyeliner, sparkly shadow, and mascara. I finished it off by brushing my brows. I finished getting ready by putting on my tights, tying my ribbon buckling my shoes, and grabbing my school bag, cape, and keys.
As I'm leaving my house, I notice Twilight walking Anya to the bus stop.
"Loid!" I called, running out towards the two. Loid turned around and smiled.
"Good morning Vivienne."
"Mind if I take Anya to school?" I ask. "And good morning to you too."
Twilight of course trusted me with his daughter, and Anya was excited by the prospect of not taking the bus.
"Sure." He said before bending down to talk to his daughter. "Is that okay with you?" He asks her.
"Yes! I wanna go to school with Vivi!" She cheers. I grin. I love that girl. Twilight handed her off to me before giving her a hug, and I walked Anya to my car.
She hopped in the front passenger, her tiny legs not reaching the floor. I hop in the driver's seat and start the car. The weather was pleasant so I put the top down.
"Anything interesting happening at school?" I ask her. Anya looked over to me.
"Nah. Becky and I are hanging out after school today."
"That sounds like fun." I smile.
"She wants to take me to the mall." Anya replied, looking out the window.
"Ooh, the mall is fun! I go there with Bibi sometimes." I say, turning the music down.
"We have a dance soon so she wants to buy dresses." Anya seemed tired. It was early. She then reminded me of my upcoming dance, and how this weekend Bibi and I had plans to also go to the mall and go dress shopping.
"Oh, I have one coming up too! Going with anyone?"
"Becky, as friends." She yawned. "Even though Becky wants me to go with Sy-on Boy. He stinks." That made me laugh a little. "He says I have stubby legs." Anya pouted.
"You do not have stubby legs, Miss Anya." I laugh. "Who needs loser guys anyway?" I really did want her to go with Damien. Plan B needs to work.
Anya was silent for a few moments before asking me something. "Are you going with any person?"
I actually wasn't sure. I was planning on perhaps going with Demetrius, for the mission of course. If I get close enough with Demetrius, he'll begin to tell me about his family. Once we get closer, he'll introduce me to his father. Then I get closer and closer to the both of them until I stop the war before it even starts. "I'm not sure yet. Maybe Bibi."
Anya must have known I had someone in mind because she had an evil look in her eye. I shrugged it off as I pulled into the lot beside a silver Caddilac. Anya hopped out, I gave her a hug and she was on her way. Just then, Bibi jumped over the car door and into my red convertible.
"Viv! Hi!" She beamed. Bibi is my best friend at Eden. Her full name is Beatrice Argylle, first in line to inherit her parent's clothing brand. She is a very kind spirit, almost overly nice and peppy. She was fun to be around nonetheless.
"Hey Bibi." I said, getting out of my car. Bibi hopped back over the door and onto the pavement. That's when I noticed Demetrius getting dropped off by the school. Bibi apparently saw him too and started jumping up and down.
"Demetrius!" She called. "Come here! Vivienne wants to say hi!"
I scowled at Bibi. I was over her nonsensical bullshittery. The only way I would ever date Demetrius was if I had to for the mission. He heard her, and approached us. I internally groaned.
"Good morning Viv, Beatrice." Demetrius said. I waved.
"Morning Demetrius."
"Hi!" Bibi said, peppy as always.
"I'm glad Beatrice-"
"Bibi." Bibi butted in.
"Apologise, Bibi called me over, I actually had a question for you, Vivienne."
"What's up?" I questioned. Bibi fell a few feet behind us to give us some privacy. She was wiggling her eyebrows as she left.
"I was wondering if you would like to.." He stopped, hesitant. I knew what he was going to ask, yet I decided to encourage him.
"Go on."
He cleared his throat. "Would you like to accompany me to the dance?"
