After changing from our gear, we decided (or rather I decided) a mall trip was in order. Twilight couldn't care less what we did, he was content just hanging out. Taking advantage of my upper hand in this situation, I skip off ahead of him in the direction of the mall. There's one particular store I'm interested in, my navy-turquoise-ish skirt that I wear on the occasion ripped and it's the only store that sells that particular one.

I fall back and wait for Twilight to catch up with me. He joins me again, matching my pace. We walk in silence on the rest of our way to the mall.

As we arrive, it's now dawning on me that there are tons of expensive, brand name stores, and the skirt that I love so much is designer. Authentique to be exact.

"I never realized how many designer stores are in here." I told Twilight. He chuckled at my obliviousness.

"I guess shopping here will help you fit in with your high class peers." He said as we turned the corner to Authentique.

"I guess. Not like I can afford anything at Gucci."

"I mean, that's what our paycheck is for." He smiled, for once.

"What has gotten into you?" I say as I start sifting through the racks looking for my skirt. I eventually found it in my size.

"I don't know." He said, picking up a dress and looking at it. "Do you think Yor would like this?"

I stared at him for a moment. "Who are you and what have you done with Twilight? And yes, yes she would."

We meandered around the department store together. I looked at all the jewelry, most of which I couldn't afford, until I heard a familiar voice talking to the clerk.

"How much for this set?" He said. I looked up at the man beside me and immediately looked away. It was Vex Edison, a boy from my history class. Twilight was to the other side of me, laughing at my embarrassment. Vex seemed to notice me. "Viv! Hey."

I had no choice but to look back into the direction of Vex. "Vex! Hey! I uh... Didn't know you shopped at Authentique." I laughed nervously. He smiled back at me, not as awkward.

"I'm just buying someone a present." This piqued my interest.

"For who?" I asked. I could feel Twilight's facepalm. I mean, what can I do? I'm just curious. He seemed to have to think for a while.

"Edith Ashton." He finally said. I figured so. She wasn't an Imperial Scholar, but she was pretty.

"Oh, well I'm sure she'll love it. See ya Vex." I smiled.

"See you Viv." He replied as I scurried off. Once I was out of sight I looked over to Twilight sighed.

"I hate talking with my classmates out of school." I groaned. Even though Vex was my friend, I was mentally drained and not fit to deal with people.

"I don't blame you." Twilight said as we walked towards the checkout. "Ready to go?"

"Yeah. I need a nap."
