❦ Evangeline ❦

A few minutes ago I was scared that I was in trouble and now I cry while hugging my brother. "I told you I'd come." Issac finally said after we pulled away. "Sorry to break up this moment but you have papers to sign." Ms. Carson spoke causing us to turn to her.

Issac was handed a small stack of papers. The papers to get me out of this place. The place I wasn't sure if was ready to leave yet. The place where I met a lot of friends. The place where I met him.

"Since everyone is enjoying the afternoon outside. It would be better for you to pack now." I was snapped out of my thoughts. "My men outside are going to help you so it'll be fast since we have a flight to catch." He added on to what Ms. Carson said.

I received a smile from my brother and gave him a small smile back. " You can go now, Evangeline." Ms.Carson dismissed.

I was followed by the two men who were outside the door. As we were going to my room I was thinking of the things I'll do. Along with those thoughts, thoughts of leaving my friends were also going through my mind. As much as I gladly I'm leaving, I can't leave them.

"You pack your clothes well do everything else." The tall one said when we got to the room.

It took almost two hours for us to pack. After they both went outside and loaded up. While waiting for them to get done I stood by the window. From where I stood, I could see my three best friends who were standing together as usual. Clementine was trying to take Vincent's cookies, but he kept playing pushing her away. They are so cute.

My eyes then landed on River. He was standing with his hands in his pockets watching our friends goof off. Then he started to look around turning his head in all directions. When he stopped he shook his head and wiped his eyes before walking away. Was he crying? He sat on a bench that was close to the garden. Once again he was looking around before he started to play with his necklace. His necklace is the one I made for him last year for Christmas. Vincent said he plays with it when he's thinking of me which is cute.

Crap.

His birthday present. I walked from the window and back to the bed. The box was still there because I wanted to give it to him when I was saying goodbye. I smiled before picking it up and heading for the door. As I was the men along with my brother approached it.

"You ready?" My brother asked. "Almost I have to say goodbye to my friends and give one of them a present." I happily answered. That happiness went away when he said we didn't have time. What did he mean? It wouldn't even take that long.

"I have to I can't leave without seeing them." I couldn't do that to them. To River. I couldn't leave without seeing him one last time. It would hurt him if I did and I don't want to hurt him. Not on a day he hates.
