The next day in the dorms, everyone stood in the hallway as they watched a camera crew set up for an interview with Bakugo and Todoroki about defeating a villain and his crew right after they received their provisional licenses.
Female Reporter: Pro-level work just 30 minutes after getting their provisional hero licenses! On today’s show, we have two students who drove back villains- - from U.A’s hero course Class 1-A, Shoto Todoroki and Katsuki Bakugo.
She started as she glanced at the two boys, as Todoroki sat there in silence confused to do while Bakugo was irritated being there with Todoroki as the girl reporter continued with her interview.
Female Reporter: Do the two of you normally have fun training together?
Bakugo: *irritated’ Does it look that way to you? You should get your eyes or brain checked!
Todoroki: We’re friends.
Bakugo: Huh? Don’t just say random stuff! Since when have we been friends?!
Todoroki: We spent a lot of time together because of the supplementary classes, right?
Bakugo: What kind of system is that? Spending time together doesn’t mean we’re friends!
Todoroki: What system are you talking about?
Bakugo: I don’t know! You should get your brain checked, too!
He shouted before they bickered back and forth while Midoriya, Uraraka and Iida stood there in complete shock as Daisuke walked into the room confused by the entire thing holding a bag of groceries. And the next day after the hellish interview, it was already the end of December and the second term only had a few days left.
Before class started, everyone was watching Bakugo’s and Todoroki’s interview, as it was completely edited as Todoroki was the only one shown and played his responses, and Kaminari and Sero teased the ashe blond haired teen, who glared at them.
Kaminari: They were interviewed for a whole hour, and Bakugo’s answers weren’t used at all!
Sero: All you see of him is this cut-off part in the corner!
Bakugo: *pissed* Use my answers…!
Uraraka: They protected him in a sense, huh?
Momo: It’s already the third interview, too…
Jiro: The good rep he got after getting his provisional license went poof.
She added as Midoriya was watching a news stream as some reporters spoke about the tragedy in Deika City, where Villains used that as a plot to lower the people’s trust in Pro Heroes, while there were reports of Dark Phenix being there minutes after, as there were much more trust in him than the Pros.
As Midoriya continued watching the report, Daisuke entered the classroom all exhausted as he collapsed over his desk, fighting the urge to fall asleep. The class continued to talk to the others, the door to the room opened as two very familiar figures entered the room.
???: Don’t be too optimistic! Things might be moving in a positive direction, but behind that is a sense of urgency from being in danger. Are the cheers rooting for those certain to win actually prayers for their victory?
The voices started as it was revealed to be both Midnight and Mt. Lady, who stood in the front of the class as they did strange poses while their voices woke Daisuke up.
Mt. Lady: Heroes have become more about showbiz recently, but now, people want them to be heroes in the real sense of the word!
Midoriya: Mt. Lady?!
