Summer Holidays went by so quick, I spent those 3 months with Sal, Larry, Todd and Ash most of the time. We went to the cinema, the beach, I had gotten way more comfortable around all of them, none of them made me feel judged for having imperfections. It was sad though because when more than just me and Larry that was there Sal would keep his mask on. Me and Larry had gotten a lot closer, we smoked weed together every morning and night, most of the time Sal tagged along but he's trying to quit. Me and Ash have one sleepover a week, for girly time. It's essential, so she says. Todd tutored me chemistry over the summer so I understand it better when we returned to school. Sal and I basically had sleepovers every night. The whole gang loved mocking us, but over the whole summer we didn't even have a single kiss, we didn't even bring up that talk about liking each other. I didn't mind though, I enjoy being in his company. I hated the thought of summer starting up in two days, I had some of the best days of my life over the summer, and I was sad to let them go. "Hey, what you sulking about?" Ash said handing me a plate with a sandwich that Todd had made me. "I'm sad summer is over, now we are stuck in school again." I said taking a bite out of the sandwich. "Halloween break is literally in 3 weeks. You'll be fine. Then winter a month later. Then spring break. Then you are done high school." She said laughing at how dramatic I was being. "Damn. We are nearly done school." I said in shock, I didn't even know what I wanted to be. "I know it's crazy." She added. My phone buzzed, vibrating the table. I picked it up. "Hey, wanna come to my place?" A text from Sal. "Ya, I'll be up now." I texted back. I finished my sandwich, stood up. "Hey guys, I'll see you later, I'm going up to Sal's." I said to Todd and Ash. "Are you two a couple yet?" Todd asked. "No, but thanks for asking." I said smiling and shutting the apartment door. I got into the elevator and pressed floor 4, the elevator dinged and I got off. I knocked on Sal's apartment door. He opened it. "Hey, come in." He said holding the door for me. I headed straight for his room without saying anything and hopped into his bed and pulled the covers over my body. He walked in and looked at me. "Everything okay?" He asked sitting down on the edge of the bed. "I'm upset." I said. "Why is that?" He said turning to face me. "Because school is in two days." I said rubbing my face. "But we are finished school for good soon." He said lighting up my mood. "Sal, when is your birthday?" I said sitting up in his bed. "December 13th, why?" He replied. "Cool! So close to mine." I exclaimed. "When's yours?." He said curious. "December 19th!" I said happily. "We can have a joined party." I added on. "That would be great." He said, taking off his mask. He lay back on the bed beside me, it had been months of us not talking about our feelings for one another, I didn't know if he felt awkward or content about that. I got into my thoughts for about 10 minutes thinking about everything since I had moved. I placed my head on Sal's shoulder. "You okay?" He asked, putting his arm around my back. "I'm okay." I said reassuring him. We watched YouTube until it was time for me to go. "You not staying tonight?" Sal asked. "No. Sorry I promised Ash, tonight's girly night." I said actually quite excited I always have a great time at Ash's place. "Okay, have fun. Text me." He said while walking me to the door. "Goodnight Sal, I'll see you tomorrow." I said before leaving his apartment. "Hey Ash, I'm on my way now. Just need to get a few things out of my apartment." I texted her. "Okay, take your time." She replied. I got into my apartment. I got a bag and put pjs, makeup, skincare, vapes and a sneaky edible for us to share. I put it on my back and left my apartment.

The walk to Ash's house always scared me a bit. It was dark and eery, I always got the creeps walking past the church. It only took about 15-20 minutes to get to Ash's, but I'd always speed walk because I felt I was being followed. I reached Ash's house and knocked on the door. She opened it. "Hey girl, come inside." She said ushering me in. "Sorry it took me so long. I was at Sal's ." I said taking my shoes off at the door. "It's fine, what's with you and Sal anyway?" She asked, this has been an ongoing question for months. "I don't know." I responded. I really didn't. "Fair enough." She said laughing softly.
