Godzilla: Rise of the Monsters

Chapter 5: The Escape

Godzilla had opened his eyes for the first time in 80 years, and he would escape the cave he had crawled into.

Meanwhile, at the Monarch Observatory, Chaos was happening.

Dr. Russel: YOU JUST SHUT DOWN THE CONTAINMENT GRID. HE CAN NOW ESCAPE.

Jason: Excuse me what the actual fu-

Isabel: So I just Opened the Door for him to just leave?

Dr. Russel: Yes, that's exactly what you did because someone hacked into our system using the hard drives, including the one you just installed, at ALL bases!

All of a sudden A violent shaking ran through the bases. Looking back at where Godzilla was, he was now going through the cave.

Jason: Will he try to kill us?

Dr. Russel: Right now he is more focused on getting the hell out of here, but no, he will not, without provocation.

Jason: So if we piss him off we're dead?

Dr. Russel: Yes.

As they try to get the grid back up, am alarm rings.

Speaker: INCOMING PROJECTILE.

Isabel: Wait what-

All of a sudden, a giant metal plate flies into the East Ends Supports and it collapses.

Rick: That's the coast wall, he has now passed the surface beach and is... Already two thirds of the way there? How big is he?!?

Speaker: INCOMING PROJECTILE.

Jason: AGAIN?

This time, a large support structure flies through and past what was once the coast wall and into the North End, Instead of collapsing, it tears large holes into the area.

Dr. Russel: BRING UP THE CAVE SECURITY FOOTAGE!

Geiszler: Already on it!

Eventually they see Godzilla arrive at the cave wall and stop.

Dr. Russel: Why'd he stop?

Then they see it.

His tail rises to show that his dorsal plates are lighting up one by one, going from the tail to the head.

Rick: What's he doing?

It goes up his body, Plate by plate, all the while, a faint gas is exiting from the tail,

Dr. Russel: Gottlieb, bring your calculations up. Geiszler, Pull up the footage at the end of the cave

Gottlieb: Of Course Dr.

Geiszler: Right Away!

Gottlieb runs into the closet to pull another chalkboard out, While Geiszler brings the footage to a larger TV.

Gottlieb: Now, with what footage remains of that moment in 1964, I can likely deduce that it is most likely some sort of weapon, most possibly acid, but possibly gas.

Geiszler: You might want to see this!

On the TV, they see what's going on.

Eventually, the light on the dorsal plates gets to the head and what appear to be gills light up to, and then the unexpected happens.

It blasts through the cave wall like it was nothing.

Gottlieb: FIRE!?!?!?!?!

Once Godzilla stopped he crawled through the hole and left an even bigger hole than before.

Even though Godzilla had escaped, no one thought that there would be a repercussion.

The base was under sea level, and so, it would flood.
