Comet sat by Cinder, daring to inch her tail closer to Cinder's. She looked over at the 3 sleeping dragons; Ronin, Angel, and Jacques. "They're a cute bunch, aren't they?"
Cinder took off her skull helmet, revealing her glittering ruby embedments by her eyes. "What are you tryna get at?"
"Nothing," Comet assured. "Just observing."
"Mhm." Cinder removed the rest of her armor, unclipping the ties slowly. Comet looked over at her. "Taking off your armor, I see. That's new."
"I've observed that I'm spotted more easily with it on, so while we lay low, it'll be off. Can you handle looking at me that long?" Comet looked at Cinder's scales; how they glowed in the firelight, how they reflected such beauty. "Yeah, in fact, I think you look better without the armor."
Cinder smiled. "Thanks, but I know what flattery is. No need to, I know how ugly I am."
"But you're not ugly," Comet laughed. "You're beautiful in every way."
Cinder finished taking off the armor. "Maybe to you." She sighed, resting her head.
"Have you ever thought about having dragonets?" Comet asked. Cinder looked up at her. "That's a weird question." Comet shrugged. "First thing that came to mind. Have you?"
Cinder shrugged. "Not really. I never wanted to pass down my awful bloodline."
"Oh." Comet flicked her tail. "I've wanted dragonets since I was one. The thought of raising dragons always infatuated me, I guess."
Cinder huffed as if she were about to make a joke. "If you want dragonets so badly, adopt those hooligans." She flicked a claw to the sleeping young adults and fledgling. Comet laughed, playing along. "Only if you adopt them with me." Cinder huffed. "Fat chance."
Ronin's entire body shook as his form changed to his infected self. "No!" he shouted, unable to fight back. He wasn't strong enough to fight it, and could only watch as he lost more and more energy and his infected self killed more and more people. Ronin tried to scream, but his voice was lost. The Infected laughed in his head. "I'll be back, Ronin, and Pyrhhia will be mine!" He cackled, the laugh echoing through Ronin's ears.
He awoke with a jolt, looking up at the mingling SkyWings. They looked back at him, concerned. "You good?" Cinder asked. Ronin nodded. "All good. Just a bad dream."
