"YOU!"

"Miss me, Pup." What he saw sent a sliver of panic through his body. The smile she put on was all teeth, reminiscent of The Cheshire Cat; it was there but not quite there. He schooled his features endeavouring not to show any fear.

"As we can clearly see. It's old dogs, old tricks."

She chuckled; it sent a chill down his spine. "It makes no difference whether you're dumb here or dumb later." Tightening her grip, her nails digging into his flesh, searing pain into his forearm.

"Smile for the people. Charm them, you should be good at that."

Mix did as he was told, placing a neutral smile on lips, holding back shielding the discomfort in his back, throbbing arm and pulsing cramps in his lower abdomen.

Mix looked toward the exist; his two bodyguards stood an imposing figure at the entrance.

If only I could get their attention! ...

"Just how do you intend to get us out of here." He attempted to distract her.

"Aww thanks for your concern." She mocked. "Don't worry your pretty little head over it."

Hurry mix think! His stomach cramped again, grimacing covertly to hold the yelp of pain. Breathing deeply through his nose to calm his nerves.            I know baby, you don't like it. Papa is not too thrilled about it either.

Walking forward, slowly he raised his free hand, brushing it against the products on the shelf. hoping to find something, anything suitable.

Maybe?!...

Finally, he found something, daring not to look down at it.

Mix raised his free arm slightly higher. Carefully grasping it in his palm.

"Nah ah ah ah!" He heard her patronising tone teasing at his back.  "You wouldn't want to lose your baby right here and now would you?" She questioned calmly. Mouth close to his ear, the hairs in his neck stood on end. Pressing the gun further into his back.

"Since you want to be so helpful. Why don't we give them a show?"

Very carefully she backed him up to a waste bin. Retrieving a square rag from her back pocket.

"Hold this." She instructed.  With careful fingers, he gingerly, clasped the sodden rag.

"Thank you, valuable assistant." Grabbing the cloth and throwing it in the bin.

She pulled them both back, showing off the gold lighter she prepared with an already lit fuse.

"Watch out for fireworks." She quipped. Throwing the lighter into the bin after the rag.

In an instant the waste bin was awash with flames. Soon engulfing the products and the shop wall.

"Fire! Fire!" She yelled. Pulling them both back even further. Alerting everyone in the shop. The fire alarm sounded overhead. All customers fleeing the shop. The two guards ran into the chaos, seeing the flames concentrated where Khun Mix had been standing. The staff screaming over the scared outcries for everyone to leave the shop. Guiding a couple of pregnant customers outside carefully. Trying their best to avoid the smoke and flames. Their search clouded by smoke, amid confusion, Dao walked Mix out with the rest of the escaping crowd.
