🖤VINCENZO🖤

"What the hell are you all talking about?" I asked.

"Give us a second, sir" Aria said as she picked the remote of my projector.

The team moved around my office, working on the projector in my office. The projector moved down as Leonardo and Matteo stood at the sides of it. Aria pressed the remote.

A picture of a familiar man appeared on the screen.

Alejandro Ponce. He is the two time mayor of this city.

"Alejandro Ponce," Aria said, turning to me. "He won the seat of Mayor with an incredible sixty percent gap ahead of his opponent. And guess what gave him those incredible votes?" Aria asked.

I raised my brow.

She smiled.

"The poor masses." The boys said.

I let out a slight hum, leaning back on my swivel chair as the team went on.

"Next is, Maxwell Dante." Leonardo said. "The mayor after Alejandro. He won the seat thanks to the high votes from the same poor masses."

Another picture appeared. I instantly recognized the person.

"The current and out going mayor, Nicolai Rossi." Matteo said. "He also won the seat through the poor masses' votes."

"Lastly is Don Pedro Martinez. Same votes from the poor masses. " Leonardo said.

"So you see, sir?" Aria asked. "The poor masses are, and I quote , 'The Majority' when it comes to this particular city and the game called politics. And as a politician, you have to think like one, and go for the majority." She said.

The boys nodded.

I stared at them as I processed all they have said.

They are looking at me.

"What has this got to do with a marriage?" I asked.

"Marriage is an important qualification for the seat, sir." Matteo said.

"And not just an ordinary marriage sir, but a unique one with one of this majority." Aria said.

I scoffed. "This is funny as fuck."

"Think about it, sir, these past mayors got the majority votes because they channeled all their campaigns and promises at the poor masses." Leo said.

"They gave the majority all the promises you can think of, and these unfortunate people believed without thinking twice about anything." Matteo said.

Aria scoffed. "Unfortunate, because they are poor and extremely needy. A hundred dollars is like a million to them. Funny thing is, these mayors didn't actually fulfill their promises. Including Alejandro who had the seat twice."

"But yours, sir," Leonardo chipped in. "We are going to make yours unique and very genuine."

"Unique is your marriage with a girl from the slums. Genuine is the humility they will think you have." Aria said.

I moved forward and placed my elbows on the desk.

"They are going to be very amazed that you chose to marry someone like them. That's priceless, sir." Matteo said.

"Very priceless." Aria added. "You are a very rich man. They wouldn't expect a man like you to reduce yourself to marry a girl from their background. And because you did, my colleagues and I believe you will get their hundred percent votes." Aria said, smiling.
