Chapter fifty nine: Six ?
Kaiser Black
Angelo ran after my sister as soon as the door had shut behind her. The room had remained silent for a while as we were all lost in our separate trains of thought. Then Astro spoke up, his voice measured. "Well that went well."
I snorted, rolling my eyes. "She's a real firecracker, isn't she?"
Colton Hael chuckled, shaking his head. "Kaiser you're not helping."
I shrugged, grinning. "Well she's definitely not what I expected and besides... someone has got to keep things interesting."
Evander sighed with a serious expression already planted on his face. "We just need to be patient with her. I'm sure she will come around. She looks like she's having a hard time digesting everything."
Oh Evander. The only Brother I could honestly rely on to feel some sort of empathy towards a person. Although he doesn't show it, we all knew he was the one person we could expose any sort of emotion to.
I raised an eyebrow. "You think? I mean she's got Angelo wrapped around her finger, in more ways than one and she doesn't even know who the fuck she is?"
Leander for the first time sounded calm, but I knew that was just a front. "Maybe Evie is right Kai, lets just give her some time."
I almost felt guilty hearing Leander agree with Evander till I saw the glint in his eyes. That fucking psycho.
Astro suddenly stood up, his eyes fixed on the spot where our sister stood mere minutes ago. "We'll just give her space for now. Till she can wrap it around that pretty little head of hers about who she is. And then..."
"And then?"
"We tell mommy and daddy dearest." Astro stated.
I raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "And what exactly do we tell them, Astro?"
Astro's expression turned cold. "We will just explain to them how their daughter has risen from the dead."
The room fell silent again, the weight of Astro's words settling in. We all knew what this meant - a confrontation with our parents, and potentially, a reckoning.
Leander spoke up, his voice still calm, but with a hint of excitement. "I'll make sure to have the cameras ready. This is going to be good."
Evander shot him a warning look, but I just chuckled. Yeah, this was going to be interesting.
Colton Hael stood up, his eyes fixed on the door. "I think I want go check on Rain. Make sure she's not...digesting anything else."
"I think Alessi already has got that covered." Izekiel spoke, unfazed.
I exhaled through my nose, rolling my eyes. "Yeah, because that's exactly what she needs - more confusion."
Astro's gaze turned to me, his expression serious. "Kaiser, let's just keep an eye on her, okay? We don't know what she's capable of."
I raised my hands, grinning. "Hey, I'm just here for the show, guys. Don't worry about me. Besides its not like the girl is on suicide watch."
"I want go home, when are we going home?" Izekiel trailed off.
Astro's expression turned stern, his eyes narrowing. "We're not going anywhere until this is resolved, Izekiel. You know that."
Izekiel's face fell, his eyes dropping to the floor. "But I miss my studio...and my paintings...and my cat..."
