Akul PovIt is 12:30 a.m. Since we all slept at noon, I am unable to sleep now. Had I not been asleep all through the day, it would have been easy for me to drift into slumber. First, I wanted to wake Ojas up and do something, but I thought against it. He will be all irritated tomorrow otherwise. I am currently reading a book, and for some reason I just wish to throw it away. Despite it being the third and last in the thriller series I began last year, I asked Aksh Bhai to get it as it is not yet launched in India, and I clearly could not keep my curiosity in check. I don't regret it. This book, or, I say, the entire book, is so captivating that I could not stop myself from picking it up and reading it again. I guess I recognize who the killer is.
Had it been some other time, I would have been fighting against all odds to finish off this novel. Here I am snapping the book close and throwing it away somewhere before I get off my bed and move to Oj's bed.
Again, 30 minutes have gone by since changing positions. Sometimes on my back, sometimes on my stomach, sometimes facing Ojas, sometimes facing the wall that OJ has on one side of his bed.
This is not the first time I am facing all this, but certainly this is the first time I am not asking any of my brothers to have hot dark chocolate with lots of sugar in it with me. They are all beyond exhausted. I will make Viti taste it too. She will become fond of it, just like me.
I assume I just have to ask Ojas. I am sorry, Twiny, as you will have to sacrifice your sleep for me. This idiot can never directly say he loves me. I want him, though. Mission wake-up starts.
"Oj," I tried, shaking him as well.
"Oj" At this point, I shake him a little too harshly.
"Kya hai (what?)" he almost exclaims.
"Oj, get up; I can't sleep. Help me." My voice is unenergetic due to sleep.
"Go have some dark chocolate."
"Come with me.".
"Ask one of the elders; they must be working." If it were some other day, no doubt this would have been there, but today I doubt.
"You come, please."
"Fine, let's go. But you are writing my English homework" He grimacingly agrees. Do I care? No.
"Okay" English is not tough and writing the novel's synopsis is even easier as I do novel reading in my leisure time.
The moment we both stepped outside the room, Ojas bumped into someone. Oh, it is Nil. That is what unfolds when you walk with your eyes closed.
"Where are you both going?" Nil questions.
"Kitchen, we are hungry." I do not want him to be worried about me.
"Put up with it for a while." He says.
"Why?" This time, Ojas speaks. Thankfully, he is coming to his senses.
"I came here to take you both with me to the dungeons."
"And Why?" I retort.
"I heard Bhaiyas talking about those fuckers being held captive in there. Now, those shitty filthies get retribution for what they did to my Viti." okay. I am in. However, is he omitting the fact that we three are not allowed in there?
