Adikrit POV
"Maya aunty, please bring our breakfast, we will be late for school today as well." How can these two devils be this energetic?
"Learn to be a little less lethargic then. It will assist you in the long run." I couldn't help but mock these two for being late comers.
"Oh bhai, no please. Why don't you plead your eldest brother to abrogate our early morning boxing practice. That's jaded and not at all cozy in this pleasurable dawn of a winter morning."
Kul quibbles to me and Aksh who is serving these two their breakfast which was laid by the helpers a moment ago.
"You shouldn't have broken the only rule you have." Aksh jibes, playfully.
" Arey yarr, stop taunting us early in the morning. I am hella sleepy." Ojas grumbles in his half asleep tone.
They are literally dragging themselves all the way. I feel bad, wishing I could escape my devils from school today but Ethi's scolding halts my step.
I recall the memory of when I was in college, and twins stubbornly demanded for a day off from school, Obviously Ethi denied. And I figured being a reckless and rebellious brother would be an accurate move to do hence, I offered to drop them to school but instead I took them out for an outing- movie, game parlor and dining out.
That was the day Ethi snatched the car keys from me, also stopped my Pocket money and as if that was all not enough, he made me attend Office like a fucking intern who struggles through the hardships of life of a middle man. I traveled to the office via DTC buses, metro trains, rickshaw, and all I was given was a tiffin packed in my bag.
Aksh also refused to support me. I had 2000 rs. Left with me so using a cab was again a ruled out alternative for me.
Now when I think of those two months of my internship, I acknowledge why he did that, he wished for me to value money, the luxury we are permitted all due to his efforts.
Let me remind myself, if I were struggling then he himself struggled seeing me in that state. He would also not use much of the comforts which he himself has earned.
He would massage my head believing I was asleep, pack my bags for the next morning so that I could have some extra few minutes of sleep then feigned getting angry at Aksh for doing all that for me.
Very soon Nil and twins will have the same fate. However, with a heavy heart, I only commiserate with these three.
I promise though, Viti will not be subject to this cruelty. I will even fight with Ethi for her.
She is a princess, and that is more than enough for her to make use of each comfort this world has ever encountered.
"Good morning, Mr. Singh."
"Very good morning, miss Akansha."
Who is she? Puzzled, I raise my brow at Aksh, probing.
"Adik, meet Miss Akansha, Viti's didi. Miss Akansha, meet my brother Adikrit Singh."
"Hello." I forward my hand for a handshake, she doesn't accept it. Just pass a small genuine smile.
"Where is my doll, bhaiya?"
"She is sleeping."
"She is so lucky, she doesn't have to wake up and go to the torture hell, popularly known as school. I wish she was up, she could help us before Ethi bhaiya. She has the free pass for literally everything." Ojas states, slightly envious of her ruling over Ethi. Mostly glad though.
