I can't believe it

I can't believe it. I actually do. But the scene looks so romantic and yet Dramatic. The way his eyes used to look made me sad but now the same eyes are making me feel so happy. Still, I have to snap out of this and proceed with my hard planned plan. This is when I realised, what I had been doing all this while. I was holding Danish's arm. And even squeezed it when I was enjoying the melodrama before me. I looked at him who was already looking at me. I let go of his hand immediately.
I was flustered. Probably had red cheeks and ears.

"Father" I called him softly. Everyone who was busy eyeing the soon to be couple, turned towards me and Nuha. "You know, just in case, I prepared these rings." Nuha showed them adoringly. They understood what I meant, even when I didn't say a word further. None said a word, until Mr. Afsan came to my support "Kashif, Aziza meri beti jaisi hai, lekin aab main usse apni beti banana chata hun." (Kashif, Aziza is like my daughter but now I want to make her my daughter) Dad laughed "Yeh kya kar diya Afsan. Kal hito Ghar aayi thi meri beti." (What have you done Afsan, My daughter came home just yesterday.)  I signaled Uncle Afsan through the rings. "Theek hai phir, 15 din baad hame hamari beti dena. Aab sirf sagai kar dete hai" (Okay then, Give us our daughter after 15 days. Now let's do the engagement only.)
"But, engagement now?" Mother asked. "We should hold a ceremony" Mrs. Afsan completed. "I already have the rings and if you want to hold a ceremony just give me an hour or two, to arrange the venue and everything else." I said with utter confidence. "But child, we have to invite many people as well." Father said. "Baba, we can limit it to the close ones. I already contacted Aunt and she said to proceed without her. She didn't mind and sent her best wishes. We can invite people for the wedding. Right Uncle Afsan?" I said not giving them a point or time to speak otherwise. Let's thank Bhai who came to my rescue. "Aziza is older than Ata, so engagement today and marriage this month won't be a bad idea."
Mother looked at me suspiciously. Father and Mr. Afsan didn't mind the plan. And Mrs. Afsan was more than happy to get this done. Well in short, Yasir Bhai suffered and regretted a lot for the past 8 years. His condition was not good and his parents wanted him to move on, which he couldn't. I am sure they want his happiness more than anything else.
"Let's not worry ourselves too much" Grandfather said. "But Papa" Mother was cut off when grandmother said "Let the children decide for themselves. They are obviously not children any more." Such a savage my grandmother is. But it helped the plan so no problem at all.
Everyone looked towards Yasir Bhai and Aziza, who I am not sure listened to us. Before anyone else could convince them to do the otherwise I teleported to them (basically walked). "So, they are asking if you want to get engaged now" I said as Nuha forwarded them the rings. Aziza was shocked seeing the rings and their designs. And Yasir Bhai was so proud of me.
They exchanged the rings while everyone exchanged sweets for their happiness.
We again separated ourselves from the elders.
"Yasir Bhai you should be thankful that I saved your sinking Titanic" I said proudly. "Yes my beloved. I promise you anything." He said happily. "Anything really?" I looked around and an idea popped into my genius brain "I think Nuha is very lonely, she is yet to have a sibling, so maybe you should contribute." Did I ever mention that Di is 6 months pregnant? No? then I just did.
"Just wait for the good news" Yasir Bhai winked.
"Ata!!!" Aziza shouted being all red and hit Yasir Bhai with the pillow.
Perfect just like old times.
"Yasir. Stay away from my sister until the marriage" Bhai said drawing the line and yet supporting him. This was always the problem. Bhai between his best friend and his best sister. Always the reason for their fights and bickering.
I was so lost in enjoying the moment that I didn't even realise that I was being watched.
Or did I realise and decide to ignore it?
Did I really grow this comfortable with him, in this short period of time?

Danish has been looking at me, I don't recall since when.
He looked not at all surprised. Like, the girl who didn't even speak to him even when left alone was now speaking of, you know what? The meanings which aren't allowed to be spoken of.
One thing I must agree with is, that he has changed me, not much but yes little by little, every time I am with him, every time I think of him.
Whenever I try to focus, different things remind me of him. My breakfast does, the coffee does, the colour of my outfit does, and so does my blanket. Like nothing offensive, but I am reminded of him during almost every moment of my daily routine and life.
Is god trying to remind me that I am already spoken for?
That seems to be the case.

Ata kept on speaking continuosly

Ata kept on speaking continuosly. Well this does concern me. She is speaking, that too continuously and there was tension in the air. She looked tired, I wanted to call her but before I could, she was 'In His Arms!' Not mine, His. Yasir's.
"Let's get you to sleep shall we?" He asked her consent and to my surprise she was already half asleep and only nodded slightly. "Aziza, help me with this sleeping bear." He said and vanished with Aziza and Ata In His Arms!
She did mumble something about killing him.

They are probably going to have their moments but I am not comfortable with Ata 'In His Arms!'
"She sleeps easily whenever relaxed." Zahra filled us in.
But still, she could fall asleep in my arms.

Aziza's wedding was fixed to 15 days from now. Everyone were busy with the preparations, even my family members assisted them. Basically, mom and aunt were overally excited and wanted to gain some experience for my soon to be wedding. Yes, they want our marriage to be done within 3 months time after Aziza's wedding. It's not official though.
(He secretly hopes for the wedding to be held sooner.)

My schedule was clear, as clear as Ata's eyes. I have been preponing the meetings and I don't understand why my schedule is so clear. Not that I am trying to put extra effort into it. ('Maybe I am' is silent)

Aziza is a bright person. She has a bright smile just like Nuha. Nothing that I can compare to that of Ata's but still they are siblings. We met a few times and she talks so informally.
Are they really siblings? The elder one speaks to me as if we were old friends and the younger one doesn't say anything more than what is necessary.

Right now we are shopping. Aziza pulled us with her. Our families are also here but they are looking for themselves. First we decided to shop for the men. Ata has been horribly quiet and looked lost. She didn't even share her normal smile. She was with me and yet not really with me.
And her cousins namely, Sara and Zoya Didi are also here, along with their mother and Zoya Didi's son .
Everyone had basically formed pairs. Aziz and Zahra. Aziza and Yasir. Farhan and Sara. Shayan and Afreen. Nadim and Zoya Didi. Lastly, me and her. Excluding Nuha and the boy, Zoya Didi's son.

Wait, Farhan was with Sara?
I did notice him looking at her a few times, but is he, like into her?

I was moving around the place and Ata was trailing behind me. She didn't utter a word. I wanted to focus on the task but I could not. I kept zoning out. Wondering about her. Worrying included.

Someone tapped my shoulder. I turned around and saw Ata looking else where. She pointed her finger toward a suit. Wow! It looks good.  Sharp eyes I suppose.
Was she looking out for me all this while?
(He is flustered)
Not going to lie, I am a little into fashion. I like to buy what I find to be good.
