Name: August Volcanina
Age: 17
Species: volcanic lava + fire girlI've never truly been able to understand myself. And even though I'm not that old, my parents truly understood themselves at around my age now. I feel like an outsider, like I was never supposed to be here.
We live by the volcanoes, because when they erupt, we gain power. And with that, overtime, I've developed the ability to use lava and fire through my hands.
They're casted as lava coloured butterflies before melting away, if lava. But the problem is, I hate being aggressive towards anyone that wanders into our territory. So I practice for the sake of practicing.

"August, darling." my mother walked up to me as I was sitting on a rock, enjoying the view of the sunset.
"Yes, mother?" I looked into her eyes as she couldn't help but smile at me, before it faded.
"Your father wants to speak to you, it's urgent."
I responded with nothing. I get off the rock as carefully as possible before walking with mother into our made hut. It was made of wood and sticks, but with the help of dried up volcano lava to keep it all together.
When we walked in, I saw father sitting on what looked like a thrown which was made of the rocks around our territory. He was in charge of our territory and never had remorse for anyone who wandered in by mistake.
He laid his eyes on me with a soft smile. The closer I walked to him, the more that smile became a frown, which only made me uncomfortable but expecting a lecture.
"Dear daughter, August, why is it you can practice your powers with friends but not put them into use?" he asked as his eyes told a different story than his light tone.
"Father," I bowed to him "I just don't like the idea of violence to protect our territory, instead of understanding it was a mistake." I answered.
He sighed loudly, tutting before rolling his eyes and crossing his legs "Daughter, I don't think you understand that not all cases are mistakes. In fact, none of them are mistakes, they're selfish outsiders that want nothing but to murder our rare kind."
I huffed softly, knowing he wouldn't give up his idea of no mistakes.
"Now, listen, daughter, when I tell you there are people that may seem harmless that invade our territory, they will always want to fight, to kill our rare kind. You must understand that fighting and killing is the only way for us to survive."
