Luna and Mona are twins demons that share some features whilst differ in others. Being succubi to them is saving victims from abusive relationships.
Luna, like Mona, will use her power within a man's, or woman's, dream to then take advantage of their vulnerability. But Luna also has the strength to carry the abusers back to their domain and into a cell.
Mona, however, would take it a step further by killing the man, or woman, in their sleep to gain more energy. But she would only do this if the man or woman has treated their partner so unfairly that burning in hell was the only option.
They both use their power to identify their victim to kidnap. Doing this, they can look into the relationship through the mind of the abuser to determine, by Mona, if they deserve to live or not.
Their only downfall is not having a tail, though it hasn't really been a downfall either as being tailless never affected them. They were born without tails as both of their parents' tails were chopped off during a war in hell against heaven. Heaven was heartless towards those who resided in hell forcefully, as they all believe suffering in hell was never enough for their sins, permanent death was all they deserved. And with their loss of tails, it was a tragic loss to Luna and Mona's future, though they still don't know why they're tailless.
Luna and Mona were born in hell during the war, so were forced to be sent to earth, therefore saved and alive, tail or no tail. They have lived on earth ever since, never finding out who their parents were. But with their permanent goal in mind, they have little care to discover who their real parents are.
They were raised by humans who wished for children of their own. They never had luck with fertility. So when they found the twins - even if they were demons/succubi - they felt more than blessed, no matter if the cost of taking care of them was the damage of their name and reputation. They treated the twins like their own, so the twins continue to believe they are their real parents, even if Mona's spotted differences. Because it's easier to lie to themselves than to ask themselves the same question constantly that'll never be answered.
