"So, who is it this time?" I asked.
"Paula Chaplin, aged ninety-six. Currently having a heart attack, paramedics trying to save her, her children surrounding them in tears, but unfortunate to them that she's not coming back." he handed me his scythe.
I vanished into thin air with the help of black butterflies. I then appeared behind the now deceased Paula, her family and paramedics staring at me as the butterflies landed all around me.
I used the scythe to chop Paula in half as her spirit covered the gore for her family, before coming to my hand and splattering it as I closed my hand on it. With her body gone - with the soul to heaven or hell - all that was left to do was leave. I did so by staring at all her family members present before the butterflies covered me, sending me back to my dad who was watching from afar with binoculars.
"Good job, Thana." was all he said as he put his binoculars away into his cloak and I returned his scythe to him.
Floating like a wandering spirit, yet just a skeleton with a lot of power, he then left the scene as I followed behind him.
"Hey, dad?"
"Hm?"
"Why am I undead? Wasn't mum part doll?"
"And part human. You see, when you were born, you took your mother's side, except you were just human. So we agreed to kill you, then jabbing your body with a completed, and tested, serum. That's when you became part doll too. This serum allowed you to grow up as normal, but age didn't matter. Unfortunately, your mother isn't with us anymore, but I can imagine she'd be more than proud of you after her time to think."
I smiled softly "I remember when she would comfort me when school was harsh when I was a lot younger. Of course, you were busy, and I understand now, but it was difficult overtime as I felt alone. But, now I wield the power you do, I could take all of their lives."
"Hey! Remember, don't let power control you. Because unlike your mother, I'm not going anywhere, and I can easily punish you if you ever decide to use your power for glory."
"I know, I'm sorry. Bullying was tough."
"I can only imagine, Thana. Your mother wanted you to go to school like any other child so opted for a public school as it was cheaper. But I wanted you to go private so you were likely to be surrounded by other monsters. Unfortunately, your mother was very argumentative over the subject so I dropped it and let her choose. I know I shouldn't have done but I loved your mother more than any other possible partner."
