Clara
It's four o'clock in the fucking morning when spencer phone is ringing like crazy. He finally convinced me to sleepover at his house, we usually sleep at mine when we have our little sleepovers but he insisted on his tonight. And while I don't mind being at his place, my bed is so much more comfortable.
"Hello?" Spencer's groggy voice chimes in next to my ear and i take a pillow to cover my head.
"Right now? Hotch it's," he gets cut off and sighs.
"I'll see you in 15." Spencer hangs and moves out of bed rushing around his bedroom. I sit up and stare at him, rubbing my eyes trying to get them to wake up.
"Case just came in, it's urgent." Spencer spins in about two full circles before eyeing his bag and throwing it iver his body. He comes to the edge of the bed and kisses me. It's like time stop in that moment, he was savoring that kiss.
"Text me where you're going when you find out?" I call out to him and shouts back "Will do." I sigh. How many i suppose to go back to sleep now.
I lay in Spencer's bed, alone, for about an hour before deciding i'll just have to be up early on my day off. The day off I was suppose to spend sleeping in with my boyfriend.
When Spencer texts me that the case is local I decide to surprise him with coffee, since he complains about workplace coffee all the time. I haven't ever step foot inside the FBI building, and now that i'm standing outside in front of it, i feel like im committing a crime. I wonder if they know everything about me? If someone really watches me through my laptop camera? If they can see my search history? I'll never be explain some of that, i blame Annie for it. When we talk about dumb stuff and then proceed to argue about it, I always end up looking it up.
I pull my phone out and even though I don't want to disrupt him I hit call anyway. "Hey, Spence. Uh, I brought you coffee but i'm scared to walk inside." He doesn't sound mad when he answers he just tells me to stay out and he'll be right out. So i'm not allowed to walk inside, or he doesn't want me inside? Either way my nerves begging to dissolve.
"Hey, you didn't have to get me coffee." I'm greeted with a kiss from Spencer when I had him his coffee.
"Maybe it was just an excuse to see you." I shrug and his laughs quietly."How's the case going?" His mood changes.
"We haven't released this publically yet but I know you had plans to go with Annie to the mall today and I want you to be safe." He pauses before he looks around.
"Annie drive me here if your looking her car, it's the blue one over there." I point and he slowly started walking me towards it.
"Three girls have been found stabbed to death in the park downtown. We have no leads yet but there's pepper spray in your purse. I put it in there the other day and forgot to tell you. Use it if you have to be safe. I would tell you to just stay home but," We get to Annie's car and he turns to face me, hands on my waist. "I know you. You won't listen." He kisses me again before opening the car door.
"This is spare key to my apartment. You can stay there tonight if you want, i'll be home late." He places a key into my palm and then closes my fingers around it.
"Be safe. Text me when you get there and when you leave." Spencer shuts the door and watches us pull away.
"What's that about?" Annie questions and I know by the look on Spencer's face he wasn't suppose to be telling me what he did so, I tell Annie nothing, it was nothing.
I was on edge the entire time Annie and I had been out until we were inside Victoria Secret cracking jokes about her ex boyfriend who would only have sex with her when she worn blue.
