chapter twenty-five
"i promise"

seola opens her eyes, the sunlight gushing directly on her face. she squint her eyes, attempting to turn her back against the light but wince at the pain between her legs. that was enough for her to recall everything last night. she sighs, peeking behind her and found the spot empty. seonghwa woke up before her. she sits up, finding a yellow post-it notes on the night stand.

i'm downstairs. i'd love to see you wearing my clothes when you come down ;)
—seonghwa

she frowned at the note but found a white button down beside it. she discard the note and climbed down the bed. a quiet wince left her mouth before she grabbed her undergarments and wore the button down seonghwa provided for her. she took multiple deep breaths, walking out of the room barefooted. upon arriving at the ground floor, she found the living room empty.

she had decided maybe seonghwa is in the kitchen and she moved her foot but halts remembering what they did last night in that location of the house. she was flustered but pushed through it and entered the kitchen. and she was right, seonghwa is in the kitchen. a laptop on the counter island as he sits on the stool with a pair of reading glasses hanging lowly on his nose. "i assumed you've read my note" seonghwa grin at her presence. "i thought i should at least give what you want given that you made effort with that note"

"you look good"

seonghwa stood, walking towards her and placing a kiss on her forehead then to a peck to her lips which she reciprocated. she expected it to be just a short kiss but maybe seonghwa has other plans cause she felt his hands on her cheeks, passionately moving his lips on top of hers. she returns the kiss, syncing her lips with his movements and opening her mouth to let his tongue in. seonghwa battled with hers before letting go and giving her a grin. "why are you looking at me like that?"

"you're my girlfriend, i need to appreciate your beauty"

"you're making me shy" she looks away, pushing him slightly and walking towards the fridge. "do you have plans today?" seonghwa asked. "not really wh—" she was cut off by seonghwa, her phone making a noise. she did not even remember leaving her phone in the kitchen. "i think you do. an unknown number said you guys should meet up" she turned her frame, frowning at the information. "who is this?" seonghwa asked. "i...i don't know"

"alright, don't respond to that"

she nodded at that. she could do anything just to not let seonghwa think things. he deserves that kind of assurance. "anyway, let's go out today and maybe go shopping." seonghwa returned to the stool. "shopping is not my thing and you won't love going shopping with me" she lean on the counter. "i'm not alone. yeosang and wonji is tagging along. i can stay with yeosang while you try on dresses you won't buy"

"i don't know if that's a good thing but alright"

"i regret it" seonghwa slump on the bench outside the tenth store they had checked out. maybe he should've taken seola's warning into consideration. he thought she was joking, turns out she's not. "maybe we should've gone to drink instead" yeosang mentally agrees to him. "i would love that better"

"yeosang, which one is better? this or this?" yeosang stares at two identical dresses his girlfriend is holding, tilting his head for help to seonghwa. "my girlfriend is calling me, excuse me" it was too obvious that seonghwa didn't know how to help either so he ran away.
