Leaving now still doesn't feel like an option. After kissing Alex in front of everyone, how would it look for you to quit the game and leave the room?
Yeah. Not so good. So, you stay. Your thoughts are uncontrollably racing. It's difficult to catch one as it goes fleeting by. There's so much you need to sort out.
All you keep coming back to is how it felt to have Alex's lips on yours.
Should you look over at him and see what he's doing? No, that wouldn't be smart. Then he'd notice you were looking if he's already looking and...
Like previously said, your thoughts are spiraling. It's never ending and enraging to be caught in this loop all the while keeping a calm presence.
Pulling yourself back to the present, you notice that Dylan has been hopping around. Trying to 'mix up the variety in the spin', so he claims. That's just drunk thinking. The game is already at random order despite his constant moving around. Nevertheless, the curly haired boy is next and cracks his fingers once the last round ends.
"Okay. Pucker up, ladies." He grins, taking in the sight of every option he had around before his hand takes hold of the bottle.
Cole and Jackie have sat on the couch behind Alex now. At least he can't see them being down here right now. Yet, you feel uneasy as Cole and you lock eyes.
The intense stare from him has you squirming internally. Even more so when you notice his head shaking in the slightest manner. Jackie leans in, whispering for a moment into his ear before he breaks eye contact and goes back to talking with her.
"No way!" A girl laughs and you cough from a sudden slap to your back. Snapping back to the game once more, you look at Dylan who is laughing... And staring at you.
Your eyes trail down and stop on the bottle. It's pointed at you.
You have got to be kidding.
What are the odds of you getting landed on two times in a row?
"Round two, (Y/n)." Dylan smirks and your skin crawls. One thing you've hated about Cole was his friends. They were two-faced. Unpredictable. Playboys. "I promise this one is actually worth it."
Your eyes flicker to find Alex watching Dylan. There's a hint of rage in those eyes. Surely he only feels upset because he has always been so protective of you. That's what you tell yourself.
"Let's just get this over with." You speak through gritted teeth.
It only takes three swift strides across the carpet for Dylan to reach you. He kneels down to your level, a cocky grin flashing at you.
You go to lean in, but Dylan lurches forward and your lips smash together. Pain seers from your lips at the force, making you tense. Dylan's hand goes to your chin, pulling you in closer.
When you focus on the kiss, it feels so... Empty. It hurts to acknowledge the void you feel from kissing some random guy. The loathing you have for allowing yourself to get into this situation in the first place.
Dylan's hand finds your cheek and you're startled. You push back, forcing him away. He doesn't care and only grins as you get up and turn away. He follows in pursuit, grabbing ahold of your arm. A painful shudder cascades down your back.
"What else does that mouth do?" Dylan jabs as tears blur your vision.
His hand suddenly yanks off your arm, making you gasp from the jolt of pain. When the sound of shouting hits your ears, you whirl around to find Alex with a firm grip on Dylan's shirt, slamming him into the wall.
