Dear Captain

Chapter 1

Things change, life is hard, sad, stressful. Emely thought standing on her bedroom window with her long black hair flying around. "Emely, cone down for dinner!" Her mother said. She was startled by her mother's voice and nearly fell down the window. "Coming!" She said holding the curtains.

Emely ran down the stairs and sat down on the table with her mother. "So, Emely. Have you applied for any job yet?" Her father asked kindly. "N-not yet, father." She stammered. "Emely darling, I am just your step father. You do not have to force yourself to call me father." He kindly said. "Yes John." She said with a light smile.

Apparently, Emely's biological father had passed away because he was shot dead at the border when Emely was just 10 years old. But now she is 20 years old.

"Well, I am planning to join the Army." Emely said. Her mother glared at her as if she said something wrong. "You are not joining the army." Her mother said strictly. "But why?" She asked with wide eyes. "I don't want you dead too, Emely." Her mother firmly said. John felt guilty and wanted to talk to her mother about Emely's dreams. But before he could say anything, Emely got up and left.

She went up to her room and locked the door from inside. Her long black hair flying around. "I wanna disappear." Emely whispered as she looked at herself in the mirror. She wrapped herself in a blanket. She ignored her mother's words and signed up for the military. In the military, she did not want to stand all day or night at the border. So, she chose to be a military police.

Dylan watched his unit from a distance of the camp. It was dark. The moon shining directly above him. The desert sand flowing in the air. He walked over the dunes, then down them. "You do remember that it is dangerous to walk that far, right?" He heard a female voice behind him. He quickly turned around to see Izzy, his wife. Dylan sighed. "Yes, I know." He sighed. "Why are you roaming here all alone?" Izzy asked. "Trying to relax... Alone." He said. "Oh don't be such a fuss!" She sigh with her arms crossed. "What does that mean?" Dylan asked, slightly annoyed. "We have been married for 3 years!" She exclaimed snuggling him. "Get off of me." He said trying to hide his anger.

3 years ago, Dylan was forced to marry Izzy. He never liked her because she was not his type. He wanted a wife who was calm, respectful, valuable and someone who can understand him better. But Izzy was the exact opposite. She was always sticking with Dylan and had no respect for space or alone time.

Dylan went back to his room and threw himself on the bed. He did not care if he was wearing his uniform or not. All he cared about was Unit and his candinents safety.

The next morning, Dylan woke up early. His usual time was 6:00 am but today was 5:45 am. He had to wake up early because a new candinent was joining.
