"We live, we love, we lie"

Dear Captain

Chapter 3

"You both are late!" The general exclaimed. "Emely, I was not expecting this from you. Especially you, Mina." He scolded. "10 laps around the field without break!" He said coldly.

"That was Captain Dylan, right?" Emely asked as they got ready to run around the field. "Yes." Mina sighed. "He seemed like a nice guy yesterday..." Emely sighed. "Sweet? He is a mad man! Not just any mad man, he is an emotionless mad man!" Mina whispered. "He sounded really sweet yesterday..." Emely said, disappointed. Mina noticed her friend's disappointment and went over to comfort her. "Hey, it's alright! You still got me." Mina smiled. Emely smiled and said "I'm soo glad I became friends with you."

"Leave me alone, Izzy." Dylan said coldly. "No harsh feelings! I still don't trust you. What if you cheat on me?" She argued. "Wow Izzy, finally you applied your brains other than shopping all day and wasting all my money on those useless things you buy." Dylan reminded. "Are you suggesting w-we get a d-divorce?" Izzy said emotionally. Dylan had the divorce sheets with him ever since he married Izzy. "Yes, I am." He said signing the documents. Dylan threatened Izzy to sign the papers as he could not tolerate her madness. "Good bye!" He said kicking Izzy out of the Camp. "Where do I go in the middle of the desert!?" Izzy said with tears in her eyes. "Maybe if you paid close attention to my candinents training on surviving, you would have known." He said leaving her there. Izzy took her phone out and tried to call her father about the matter.

As Dylan watched Emely rest in a corner, he got a call from his father-in-law. He did not want to answer but he did anyway. "May I help you?" He started. "Meet me at my place at 6 pm, sharp!" His father-in-law yelled. Dylan knew exactly why he called. It was because Izzy the spoiled brat had told her daddy about the divorce.

Emely sat down on the ground, extremely dehydrated. Dylan walked in her direction with a water bottle in his hand. "Here." He said as he gave Emely the bottle. "Thanks." She said drinking the water. She tried to get up but couldn't. Dylan lifted her up effortlessly in bridal style and pressed her against his chest for grip. "W-what are you doing?" Emely asked. "What do you think I am doing?" He asked her.

They were halfway close to Emely's room. Emely had nearly slept in his arms. Dylan watched her sleep peacefully in his arms. Her lush hair, falling on her face. He opened the door and walked inside. He gently placed Emely down on her bed and covered her with the blanket making her feel more comfortable. He watched her sleep and then walked away. They both felt a connection for each other but are not able to identify it... yet.
