Chapter 1: Initial Problems

April 24th, 1638 Elysian Date.
Gra Valkas Empire, Capital Ragna.
Imperial Palace, Gra Luxs Office.

In a gold coated room, filled with great decorations remarking the importance of the place, Emperor Gra Lux of the Gra Valkas Empire, who was sitting comfortably in a chair behind a desk, was listening attentively to the person who was reporting to him, in the past 3 hours, the Empire had suffered a terrible earthquake that also came with a storm, it had enveloped the entire country in a dark cloud, which had left the analysts of Gra Valkas in total shock and panic.

"Your majesty, no major damages were done, but it seems we have... lost? Contact with the rest of the world. Even Kain, nobody seems to be answer and we seemingly are now surrounded by water. Chief of the Navy Hermann has recalled all the patrollings ships awaiting for your orders, your majesty. " Explained the young officer to the Emperor, to which the emperor carefully listened and despite being terrified, kept his head cool.

"How could this be? Are we certain this isnt a trick from the Kainians? No. It couldn't be. Not even using otherworldly magic. Tell Hermann to standby and summon the Imperial Council, we need to discuss this with the Imperial Council, also, try ti evade any leak of information to avoid panic." Finally said the emperor, finishing the sentence with a seemingly strong tone.

The young officer then complied and hurriedly left the room, leaving the Emperor alone with tons of questions. How could this possibly happen? An entire land mass, not small to that, was seemingly moved to some other place. Even if they're still in the same planet, somehow they were transported to some other place that it wasn't their home.

Gra lux then decided to get up from his seat, and take a walk around the Palace as the Imperial Council assembled, Lux watched as the military staff ran around, when they noticed him they quickly kneeled and saluted their Emperor, to which the emperor decided to at ease them. And let them continue his duties.

In his mind, he was deeply concerned, what could have happened? What will happen to the empire? He had to be extremely careful, as he could potentially destroy the empire, he needed to play his cards correctly, if not, the empire would be doomed. He then returned to his beautiful office, and sat down again, and began waiting as he revised some reports from distinct sectors of his nation.

1 hour later:

"Mhm, agricultural expansion? Will revise that later." Muttered the Emperor, revising some petitions and documents he had been sent, until, a screeching noice coming from his offices phone rang fervently. Lux quickly picked up, to which his personal assistants, "Karls" voice spoke. "Sir, the highest ranking ministers and officers have been summoned to the council as per your request, they are waiting on you to arrive. Even his highness Gra Cabal is here." Said the Karl, with a seemingly tired tone from summoning the entirety of the Empires Highest personnel. "Very well. I'm on my way, Karl." Said the Emperor in a calm voice, it was not the first time he had summoned the Council, infact, he summoned it 2 days ago to finally decide if they were invading the Kainians, thus why the summon only took one hour.

Lux then walked several minutes to reach the eastern part of the palace, where political matters were handled by the emperor and where the Imperial Council, the Empires most important men gathered to discuss important aspects of the Nation. Once he arrived to the bustly and heavily guarded section of the Palace, the guards quickly saluted him and let him in. Once he entered the room which had around 45 persons, he recognized several important figures, such as his son, the several ministers and important generals who all had a nervous and tense face. When they noticed his arrival, they all quickly stood up to welcole his entrance. He then walked inmediately to the central stand, to sit in his desk to begin the meeting.

"Greetings, thank you for the welcome. But lets quit the formalities and the details, we have important matters to discuss. First, give me a detailed summary of what is going on." Said the Emperor, his voice booming with power, to that, the Information Offices director, Stropp, stood up to begin his lengthy explanation.

"First, your majesty, as we all know here the country was hit by both an earthquake and a storm, something we have never imagined. But, seemingly the storm made our communication devices go off, and during the storm we couldn't communicate with any other nation, not even with eachother. As per your orders, military alert was raised and all fleets were called in to prevent sinkings, as the sea waves were also affected by the storm. After the storm and earthquake had gone on, the Information Office collected as much as intelligence and reports we could get, nothingg
Grave happened but," paused the Officer "We seemingly have been detached to our world. All of our communications equipment are being used, radio, telegrams, radars, nothing. We are cut off. We have decided to standby for your orders, your majesty. To properly decide and prepare contingency plans, either way, General Marons is in high alert, with his air bases in full alert and radars on high power. The IO has nothing else, we apologize for not being able to gather more information." Finally finished explaining the young blonde, whos eyes were green as emeralds and whos tone was in an apologetic voice.

"I understand, nobody prepared you for this. Does anybody have any kind of suggestion before I speak mine?" Said Lux in an attentive voice, to which he saw General Atoll satnd up, and speak. "Your Majesty, Imperial court, I suggest to firstly stabilize the situation at home. Our citizens are shaken, and I prefer that the domestical situation gets patched up before anything, I think we need to keep the morale of our citizens." Finalized the General, to which he sat down. "I thought of the same, General. But with some extra steps. Firstly, calm the civilians down, then inmediately deploy our patrolling fleets to survey the surrounding seas, and send Admiral Mirkenses to the place in which we find land, or other civilizations. If we do find civilization, our focus is to be more pacific and cautios, we do not know what they can pull up." Finalized the Supreme Ruler, to which all the Generals and ministers could be seen nodding and agreeing.

"Your Majesty, we still have some other issues. For example, our imports of important materials such as iron have been cut off. We can live with out national production, but we wont be able to expand the army anytime soon, aswell as other resources." Spoke the Minister of Resources and Industry, to which the emperor nodded in agreement.

"I agree. I will revise this night all of your reports, for now, Ill raise the session and let you all continue your duties. Send me reports lf any issue, and I will revise them tonight. Time is scarce and we need to make the best of it, gentlemen. You are all dimissed effectively, Glory to the GVE. " finished the Emperor, to which everybody repeated the same last words. And proceeded to leave the room, each individual with their important task at hands. Gra lux then spoke with some other officials, to finally return to his office to begin his longthy evening and night of just reports.
