“Uh, sorry but I don't understand? Why should I go there?”
“You know, uh…W-well…”
“Well what? Stop stuttering, I don't have time for this today.” you growled
Well, you were starting to think that your nightmare might not have been just an ordinary dream or a nocturnal hallucination. Mainly because three terrified cherubs appeared in your house and then told you to go to Lucifer.
You weren't going to give in so quickly, because you didn't learn much from them, and they seemed to be difficult to talk to in general.
And you were definitely not in the mood for sweet talk.“Listen, fuckers, I don't have patience today, so if you don't explain the whole matter to me, I'll rip out your wings and stuff pillows with your feathers.” you hissed, being on the edge
“P-please-”
“Ooookkay.” Maha walked up to you and stood between you, pulling you away from the cherubim and blocking your view of them. “Let's calm down, tell us what's going on. What is the reason for this visit?”
The cherubim looked at each other. “Well, I thought Gabriel had already delivered the message… I mean, well... marriage…” they added the last word quietly, almost whispering
“Marriage.” Maha repeated and looked at you “Is this about your dream?”
“Dream?” one of the angels asked confused “It was real, I don't know what you think but-”
“It wasn't real.” you protested, even as you felt your chest tighten in fear as slowly the truth began to break through your vain hopes “It couldn't be.”
“Yeaaaah, but, uh…” the yellow angel spoke, scratching the back of their neck “You know, it was.”
“No-” you rushed towards them with your arms outstretched before Maha could catch you. You grabbed the yellow cherub by their clothes and pulled them closer to your face “It wasn't fucking funny, I don't know what game you're playing but the fucking joke isn't funny and never was.”
“I-I know, it is not-”
“Hey, chill, chillax, both of you.” Maha pulled the angel out of your hands “So she's married now? To who?”
“R-Radio Demon.”
The girl stared at the angel in her hands, then looked at you for an uncomfortably long time, then back at the cherub.
“Suuure…”
“No, seriously. Now she has to go to Lucifer because he has a document and he has to include it in the.. in the documents and he also needs her and Alastor's signatures there.” the other angel, the purple one, quickly added “Can you let her go now please?”
Maha let go of the cherub, which hit the floor with force, and then rose and flew away, flapping her little wings. She looked at you resentfully but didn't say anything, crossing her arms.
“If I don't sign, it won't be working.” you said “Right?”
“Uh, no. This is just a formality.” Purple replied again
“Fuck.” you sighed and fell back into the chair, burying your face in your hands “Wait…”
“What?” all four of them asked, that is, the three angels and Maha
“Maybe I can do something about it.” you stood up as quickly as you could and ran towards the door “Don't wait for me!”
And you ran out, leaving the rest in confusion.
