✨️Previously on Dragon Heir✨️

Melike had finally been able to convince the Syrax to be by her side and had seized occasion to threaten her auntie about her return. She gave her auntie specially 1 month to run away before she return to claim back her throne. She seized this occasion to rebuild herself strongly and get to know the syrax dragon personally.

✨️The Victory✨️

*Melike Pov*

In the hallowed halls of the ancient kingdom of the Sentinel of Howling, a I had spent the past month tirelessly preparing for my return. My rightful throne had been usurped by my wicked aunt, the treacherous Queen Delilah, but I was determined to reclaim her birthright.

With each passing day, My swordsmanship improved, My agility soared, and my mind sharpened. Guided by the wisdom of Ava, I mastered ancient runes and devised cunning strategies. The entire kingdom eagerly awaited for my triumphant return. I had been training hard with Flame (The syrax dragon) and I had getting to know him better.

However, Delilah had long coveted the throne. Through her cunning spies, she had learned of Melike's secret alliance with the syrax dragon and devised a sinister plan to thwart her niece's ambition. Delilah discovered that Flame had a newborn sibling, Orphelia, a dragon baby of unmatched power. If she could seize Orphelia, she could cripple Flame and extinguish Melike's hopes of regaining power.

As the moon cast its silver glow over The Sentinels, Delilah's minions descended upon Flame's lair. The massive Syrax stood defiantly, his emerald scales shimmering under the moonlight. But amidst the chaos, Delilah's spies managed to snatch Orphelia from her slumber.

News of the kidnapping reached me, sending shockwaves through my heart. I could not bear the thought of Orphelia falling into my aunt's wicked clutches. With Flame by my side, I embarked on a perilous journey to rescue my precious dragon baby sister.

The wind whispered a warning, carrying the scent of smoke and fear across the mountain peaks. My heart hammering against my ribs, tightened my grip on the hilt of my sword. Beside me, my cousin Ava, a fiery whirlwind of auburn hair and fierce determination, scanned the horizon.

'It's happening, isn't it?' Ava whispered, her voice tight.

I nodded, my gaze fixed on the smouldering ruins of the ancient dragon's nest. 'She's gone,' I choked out, the words tasting like ash on my tongue.

The Aquilonia Kingdom, a place whispered about in hushed tones, a place where ancient magic pulsed and shadows danced. A place Delilah had hidden herself near her beloved brother, cloaked in its dark embrace. It was a place of danger, a place where even the bravest warriors had been lost. But it was also a place where Delilah was vulnerable, a place where their power could be stronger, where their courage could triumph.

'Melike, it's too dangerous,' Ava argued, her fear threatening to consume her. 'We can't go alone.'

I snorted, my eyes ablaze with defiance. 'And what other choice do we have? We're not leaving her behind. We won't let Delilah win.'

And so we set out, our hearts pounding like drums in our chests, our every step echoing with determination. We journeyed through the desolate plains, crossed perilous rivers, and climbed treacherous mountain paths, our friendship a flickering flame in the growing darkness.

Finally, we reached the edge of the AquilonWoods. The air grew thick and heavy, laden with the scent of decay and the whispers of forgotten secrets. The trees stretched their gnarled branches towards the sky, their leaves rustling with a thousand unspoken words.

As we ventured deeper, the trees grew closer, their branches intertwining overhead, creating a suffocating canopy of darkness. The air felt heavy, oppressive. We could feel the whispers of the woods, the ancient magic swirling around them.

Suddenly, a flash of moonlight illuminated a clearing ahead. In the center, a towering oak stood sentinel, its branches reaching towards the sky like grasping claws. A circle of ancient stones ringed the tree, our surfaces worn smooth by the touch of time. My eyes burning with fury, stepped forward. "Let's end this." We walked deeper into the woods, the shadows lengthening around us, the air growing colder with each step. The silence was broken only by the rustling of leaves and the occasional croaking of an unseen frog.

My fear a constant companion, scanned the darkness, my hand instinctively reaching for my sword. My heart pounded in my chest, a frantic drum against my ribs. I had never felt so vulnerable, so exposed. We had come to rescue the young dragon, to protect her, to save the future. But the cost, we knew, would be high.

We stepped into the clearing, the shadows swirling around us, the whispers of the woods growing louder, more insistent. This was it. Delilah's lair.

I drew my bow, my eyes fixed on the entrance to the grove. Ava, her heart pounding in her chest, gripped her sword, her knuckles turning white. And we knew, with a chilling certainty, that this was only the beginning.

A fierce battle erupted that would forever alter the fate of me. The air crackled with magic as I gripped my enchanted sword tightly, my heart pounding with both fear and determination.

As the battle commenced, Flame unleashed a torrent of fireballs, but Flame swiftly dodged them.

'You think a dragon can save you, child?' Delilah's voice, once filled with warmth, now rasped with malice. 'You're foolish, just like your mother.'

I gripped the hilt of my sword, its cold steel a familiar solace. Beside me, was Ava, my fiery young cousin with eyes that burned like embers, stood poised, her own blade gleaming in the moonlight.

'You're wrong, Delilah,' I said, my voice steady. 'Syrax is not just a weapon. He's my family. We will fo everything in our power to get her sister back!'

'Hand over the dragon, Melike,' she snarled, her voice like a viper's hiss. 'It's mine by right.'

I stood firm, my fear replaced by a fierce determination. 'Syrax is no weapon, Elara. He deserves to live free.'

A battle ensued, the air crackling with magic. Elara, Delilah daughter wielding a dark, twisted staff, unleashed a torrent of shadows that whipped at Ava and I. I nimble and swift, parried the attacks with my sword, my movements are blur of steel. Ava, meanwhile, focused her own magic, weaving shields of light with her wolves pack to protect herself and me.

But Delilah was relentless, her power growing as she fed off the fear she saw in our eyes. Despair threatened to consume us, but we clung to hope, our gaze fixed on the babg dragon in the cage.

Suddenly, the little dragon throbbed with a blinding light, and the air itself seemed to crackle with energy. The small, white dragon emerged from the cage, its eyes glowing with emerald fire. With a roar that shook the forest, Orphelia launched herself at Elara, his tiny claws slashing at her face.

Startled, Elara stumbled back, her dark magic faltering. I seizing the opportunity, lunged, my sword buried in his stomach. With a final, pained scream, Elara fell, her grip on the staff loosening.

Delilah run to her daughter in fear and decided to declare forfeit to us.

The battle was over. Ava, the young dragon and I stood victorious, our bodies aching, but our hearts filled with joy. The forest echoed with the dragon's gentle, rumbling purr, a sound of victory and relief.

Orphelia, nestled in my arms, gazed up at me with her emerald eyes, a silent promise of loyalty and friendship. She was safe, and we knew that together, she, Ava, Flame and I, would protect the world from the darkness that Delilah represented. The fight wasn't over, but for now, we had won.
