CHAPTER 25

The sun, a warm hand on my cheek, woke me with the gentle scent of blooming wildflowers. I stretched, feeling the familiar weight of Tolga's head resting on my shoulder. Three years. Three years since the day Delilah, the sorceress with eyes like molten gold and a heart as cold as the abyss, met her demise. Three years since the Dragon Stone, pulsing with ancient magic, had imbued me, a scared Queen, with the strength to fight back.

Drakenwilds was different now. The air was no longer thick with the stench of decay and fear. Instead, it vibrated with life, with laughter, with the happy cries of children playing in the streets. The fields, once barren and desolate, were now a tapestry of vibrant colors - daffodils, lilies, and sunflowers reaching for the sun. Drakenwilds was reborn, and I, its Queen, was its proud caretaker.

It wasn't always like this. The memory of those dark days still haunted me - the iron bars of my prison, the fear that gnawed at my soul, the shadow army that stalked the land. The years in exile, losing my child. But those days were relegated to the past, a mere whisper in the song of a new beginning.

Ava, now my advisor and confidante, sat beside me, sketching a pattern on the balcony floor with a twig. A sigh escaped her lips. 'Do you ever think we'll face another threat like Delilah's?' she asked, her voice filled with a concern I understood all too well.

I smiled, the warmth of the sun reflecting in my eyes. 'Perhaps, my dear friend. But Drakenwilds is strong now. We have a united people, a powerful army. And a Queen who will always fight for what is right.'

Ava chuckled, her eyes sparkling with a mischievous glint. 'I wouldn't want it any other way.'

A soft breeze rustled the leaves of the ancient oak tree, carrying with it the melodies of the dragon sanctuary. The dragons, once hunted and abused, now thrived under my protection, their roars echoing with freedom and promise. Their powerful wings beat a joyful rhythm against the sky, a testament to their newfound peace.

The sun began its descent, painting the sky in hues of fiery orange and deep purple, casting long shadows across the land. I closed my eyes, breathing in the familiar scent of the wildflowers, the warmth of the sun, the peaceful chirping of birds. The weight of responsibility, the burdens of a queen, seemed to melt away. For a brief, precious moment, I was simply Melike, a girl who had once been afraid, now a Queen who knew peace.

The future stretched before me, a vast, untamed canvas. Drakenwilds was a land reborn, a testament to the power of hope, resilience, and love. I knew, with a certainty that resonated in my very core, that I would continue to lead my people towards a future filled with joy, prosperity, and peace. And within that future, nestled amongst the vibrant tapestry of life, would be the melody of a dragon's song, a song of freedom and happiness, a song that echoed the rhythm of a happy ending.

After 3 fucking years now I would say, life in Drakenwilds has taken on a rhythm of tranquility. The fields yield abundant harvests, the villages hum with merriments, and the streets are filled with laughter. My court is a gathering place for scholars, artists, and musicians, who contribute to the kingdom's vibrant intellectual and cultural life.

My personal life mirrors the prosperity of her realm. I shares a deep and loving bond with my husband, King Tolga, and together we have raised a family of our own, our children little princess, blessed with her mother's wisdom and her father's bravery, are destined to carry on the legacy of our illustrious lineage.

As the sun rises each morning, casting its golden rays upon Drakenwilds, I stands at the balcony of my castle, gazing out at my kingdom. My heart swells with gratitude for the peace and harmony I have brought to my land. The evil that once haunted my realm has been vanquished, and in its place, a new chapter of hope and prosperity has begun.
