✨️Proposal of Prince Tolga✨️
*Melike pov*
The castle gates swung open, revealing a triumphant procession. I astride my obsidian dragon, my silver hair streaming behind me, led the way. The castle, bathed in the warm glow of the setting sun, stood tall and proud, a testament to their resilience.
The knights and ladies of the realm greeted us with cheers and thunderous applause. The air was thick with the scent of victory and the sweet promise of celebration. As we entered the grand hall, the sound of music filled the room, inviting us to dance and revel in us triumph.
But amidst the merriments, an unexpected visitor arrived at the castle gates. It was Prince Tolga of the fabled Tygaria Valley, known throughout the realm for his wealth and renowned army. My heart fluttered with a mix of curiosity and apprehension. I had heard whispers of Tolga interest in me, but I had never given it much thought.
As Tolga entered the grand hall, his presence commanded attention. He was tall and handsome, with piercing blue eyes and a commanding gaze. He approached me, his voice smooth as honey.
'Lady Melike,' he said, bowing deeply. 'Allow me to extend my sincerest congratulations on your valiant victory. Your courage and wisdom have inspired the hearts of all who fight for justice.'
I curtsied gracefully. 'I am humbled by your praise, Prince Tolga. It was an honor to serve my realm alongside my brave comrades.'
'I have long been an admirer of your strength and determination,' Tolga continued. 'Now that the war has ended, I would like to make a formal proposal of marriage. I believe that together, we could forge an alliance that would secure the future of both our kingdoms.'
A hush fell over the hall. Me. My mind raced as I considered my options. Tolga's proposal was tempting. His kingdom was rich and powerful, and an alliance with him would bring stability to our kingdoms. But could we trust him? And could I sacrifice my heart's desires for the sake of our kingdom?
Ava stepped forward, her eyes blazing with concern. 'My lil Dragon,' she whispered, 'Do not rush into a decision. Tolga's motives may not be as pure as they seem.'
I nodded. 'I understand, Ava. I need time to consider.'
Tolga's smile faded. 'Very well,' he said. 'I shall await your answer at my castle. I trust that you will make a decision that is in the best interest of both our kingdoms.'
As Tolga left the castle, I retreated to my chambers, my thoughts in turmoil. I paced the floor, my mind racing. Tolga's proposal was both alluring and unsettling. I feared that he was more interested in my power than my heart. But if I refused him, would he seek revenge against Ava?
Time seemed to stand still as I grappled with my decision. My dragons sensed my distress and nuzzled their heads against my legs, offering their unwavering support.
In the end, my heart prevailed. I could not betray my own happiness, even for the sake of our kingdom. With a heavy heart, I sent a messenger to Tygarion Castle, declining his proposal.
Tolga's reaction was swift and unexpected. He raised an army and marched on Ava Castle, determined to force me into submission. The siege of Ava Castle began, and the realm was thrust once again into the horrors of war.
My refusal of his hand in marriage had left a wound deeper than any blade could inflict. His heart, once filled with the fire of hope, was now a cold ember.
